way too tight on top

My head measured 56cm and I've always wear size M helmet, but this particular helmet is so tight from mid to top of the helmet. I exchanged for a size L and it was way too big and sit at the eyebrows...a no go for me with a big goggle. I really like the design and quality of this particular helmet, but I had to return.
