Why We Like The Juliana Furtado C S Mountain Bike

When we think of a capable and aggressive trail bike for hitting everything from jump lines to technical descents, the Juliana Furtado is one of the best. Due to its aggressive geometry, mixed-wheel setup, and lightweight build, the Juliana Furtado is the perfect choice for aggressive riders who want something more than the average trail bike. With a 29-inch wheel up front for roll-over capability and a 27.5-inch rear wheel for more agility and clearance, the Furtado ensures a lively ride when going downhill, plows through trail obstacles, and maintains its speed with the best out there. The 130mm of VPP suspension allows the Furtado to excel all over the trail, ensuring stable and efficient climbing and ruthless and rowdy descending. The slack 65.2-degree head tube angle gives us enhanced stability and confidence when the trail gets steep, and a 77.4-degree seat tube angle puts us in the perfect position for efficient climbing. Size-specific chainstays ensure every size rider has the same perfectly balanced and agile rear end, and when the day calls for a bit more, we flip the rear shock Flip Chip into the low setting for more aggressive geometry and a lower center of gravity. The beloved Glovebox frame storage system allows us to carry our bike tools, a spare tube, and maybe even some snacks with us at all times so we can ditch the backpack, and a convenient Sag Window allows us to see our rear shocks sag indicator for easier shock setup. Finally, integrated downtube and chainstay protectors provide peace of mind during aggressive riding, and a shuttle guard protects our bike when we mount it on the tailgate pad and shuttle to the trailhead.

The S build of the Juliana Furtado is stocked with quality components that are fit for any trail rider. Juliana's Carbon C frame provides us with a stiff and lightweight platform to shred on that is built to the same standards as their more premium CC frame, just with a slight weight penalty. SRAM's GX Eagle drivetrain gives us a reliable 12-speed drivetrain with a huge range and a reliable track record so that we can climb over any obstacle. The RockShox Pike Select+, 140mm fork, handles chunky trails easily, and its partner in crime, the Super Deluxe Select+ rear shock, throws down tons of traction and has multiple compression and rebound adjustments to tune our ride to our preference. Premium Maxxis DHRII tires and Race Face AR Offset rims make for a wheelset that will tear up the trail, and the DT Swiss 370 hubs supply us with quality performance that can be upgraded down the line for more engagement.

*Due to a high demand in the global supply chain and bike industry since the start of the pandemic, material weight and exact components are subject to change. We are working diligently to keep tech specs updated, and any adjustments will be of equal or better spec level.
