Montebianco Spectron 4 Sunglasses
With skis on your feet and white snow all around, you'll need your Julbo Montebianco Spectron 4 Sunglasses to block out wicked alpine rays from all directions—this way you can enjoy another unforgettable tour full of perfect powder turns. Removable side shields turn these into glacier glasses to protect your peripherals from wind, snow, and dust so you can maintain clear vision while skinning or climbing at high altitude, while curved temple arms, temple grip pads, and an attachable cord secure the shades to your head so you don't drop it over a thousand-foot cliff. The dark lenses only allow 5% of visible light through, so while these are ideal for the bright, snow-covered alpine, they are not well-suited for driving.

Wore these on our summit push to Mount Rainier. I was impressed at how bright it was outside when I took them off to check. Comfortable to wear while hiking and sweating.

Comfortable, color and opacity average

They definitely look good, and are far more comfortable than straight-arm glasses tend to be on my head. Only let-downs in my experience are that the lenses haven't been tinted beyond the coating, and the color rendering. Optical color is a deep brown (from the coating), but they are far too transparent for my eyes to be truly comfortable. They block all UV and quite a bit of IR (weird to think about something keeping your eyes cool, but here we are), but as for visible light, hoo-boy, these don't block much. Maybe half as opaque as dollar-store sunglasses. I'm extremely light-sensitive, so these are really only useful to me on cloudy days to knock back the UV bouncing around. On a sunny day? Everything still looks blindingly shiny, like it has been dipped in chrome. If they would just use higher-opacity plastic for the lenses, these would be phenomenal.

Bought these for my guy, he is SUPER light sensitive! He LOVED them, until he went to take them off, and the one arm snapped off! He hasn't even had them for a month yet. :( I had high hopes, but they were squashed.
