Now featuring a gusset that adjusts with a stud fastening to fit a range of calf sizes, your childlike joy of the rainfall doesn’t have to be accompanied with the annoying feeling of being squeezed in the back of your legs. - Q & A
Splashing in the Rain!
I have a pair of Hunter boots and a pair of Joules and while I love both, I will say that the joules are significantly squishier to walk in, less clunky, less noisy, less heavy, and less wide around the calf (which are all great things for me). The traction on the foot is still super stable and I get nothing but compliments when I wear them.
I will say that these are pretty smelly when you first take them out of the box (they smell like wet paint in my opinion) but the smell will fade with 2-3 wears so just give them some break in time.
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Joules makes the cutest rainboots; hands down! The prints are gorgeous and they aren't clunky like most rainboots. I typically wear a 8.5 and the size 9 is great; especially when planning to wear a thicker, tall sock to get your toes warm. I've gotten a million compliments on these since receiving them; depending on your style, they make both prints and solids -- love them all!
Pros: Super cute, quality. perfect height (these are tall boots and hit me just below the knee i.e. they don't break your leg in a weird place making you look squatty), excellent fit (I have small calves, however I don't forsee any issues for those that typically have fit issues with tall boots because of the width around the calf area -- not tight at all), AND they don't have that annoying squeeky rainboot thing happening,
Cons: none -- ya really, none.
