    Backcountry bliss.

From bagging first descents in Nepal to dropping spines in AK, Jeremy Jones continually pushes backcountry snowboarding to the loftiest heights. Representing Jeremy's favorite choice for skinning up and ripping down the most demanding lines on the planet, the Jones Solution Wide Splitboard distills decades of his backcountry experience into an incredibly versatile, hard-charging splitboard. This wide version gives bigger riders a solid, stable platform for accessing and riding the lines of their dreams.

The Solution Wide features a Directional Rocker profile, which enhances float on those snorkel-deep days with its lengthened nose rocker. This profile places responsive camber directly underfoot, allowing you to drive into turns with power and precision. The subtle tail rocker releases the rear end from catching, also facilitating switch landings into fluffy powder. Because rocker profiles often lack edge hold, the Solution Wide solves this problem with its Mellow Magne-Traction edges. Another innovative feature, inner Magne-Traction edges improve side-hilling performance, especially on sketchy ascents.

New for this year, Jones eliminates base bolts with their Boltless Bridge. This improved construction technique uses Karakoram Ultra Clips for the tightest possible connection by increasing compression between each board half. Carried over from last season, the Quick Tension Tail Clip attaches to Jones' climbing skins (not included) for better fitment without using traditional tail clips. Another signature feature, stainless steel tip and tail protectors reinforce the board's base from damaging impacts.

Jones strives to be as environmentally friendly as possible, with the Solution Splitboard using an ECO-plastic topsheet made of castor beans for a lighter, more sustainable construction. Maximizing lightweight efficiency and impact damping, the Master core is comprised of dual-density paulownia and poplar wood. Triax fiberglass gives the board a torsionally rigid flex, making it composed for straight-lining steeps and stomping landings.

    Waiting for snow!

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I am still waiting for the snow to fly here in Utah but I do have some initial impressions. The board has a quality finish which looks even cooler in person. The new Karakoram clips bring the board together nicely with no gaps in the middle of the board. The mellow magnatraction will be appreciated when the skin track gets icy or when making turns down sketchy windblown faces.

Jeremy Jones has pretty much written the book on splitboarding and has pushed the sport over the last 10 years. This model is their most popular board and it’s for a reason. They say this is the closest you can get to a one board quiver for the backcountry and, if it anything like the previous models, I am sure it will live up to its reputation.

    My Personal Split

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

It's been awesome seeing the evolution of the Solution and watching it just get better and better. I rocked last years Solution and the big issue I had was the tip and tail being durable but Jones has beefed up those sections with metal reinforcements.

The other area that performs really well is the Bolt-Less bridge connectors. I like that the board has been beefed up in this area to decrease the flex that occurs at the joint.

I've rocked the Solution as a softboot set up and a hardboot set up and I'm happy to help build your set up.
