    Backcountry bliss.

Jeremy Jones is on a mission to redefine what's possible on a splitboard, from venturing deeper into the backcountry to riding lines that no one thought were possible. Representing Jeremy's favorite choice for skinning up and ripping down the most demanding terrain on the planet, the Jones Solution Wide Splitboard distills decades of his backcountry experience into an incredibly versatile, hard-charging splitboard. This wide version gives bigger riders a solid, stable platform for accessing and riding the lines of their dreams.

Camber between the feet keeps the Solution planted at mach speed and gives the board a responsive, poppy feel, while slightly more rocker in the nose than the tail offers effortless float in the deepest pow. Because rocker profiles often lack edge hold, the Solution solves this problem with its Traction Tech edges. Going one step further for touring performance, Traction Tech along the inner edges improves side-hilling grip in challenging conditions.

New for this season, Jones added carbon stringers for improved pop that helps you explode out of turns, while triax glass keeps it stiff for stability at high speeds. Bolt-Less Bridge technology thickens the core at the clips so Jones doesn't have to drill all the way through the board to anchor the clips. Not only does this provide a more powerful connection, it also increases torsional stiffness for a more stable ride on seriously steep slopes. Karakoram Ultra Clips offer the tightest possible connection between each board half for no slop between the seam, so you can shred more confidently. Quick Tension Tail Clip attaches to Jones' climbing skins (not included) for easier and more secure skin attachment.

    For The Deepest Days

I have put well over 100 days into my Jones Solution and it is still going very strong. Despite countless encounters with rocks, ice and trees, the base has held up quite well, and is still my favorite split board to ride despite having other, newer options.

The hybrid rocker makes a huge difference on steep uphills while still allowing plenty of float in deep powder. The blunt nose shape allows for easier riding without having to go to a longer board as well, with a more efficient front contact point. Finally, the weight of the board, at 6lbs 5oz, is one of the lighter options (not full carbon) on the market, saving you weight and money. All of these combined make this a great board for someone who is primarily out touring (as opposed to riding the resort) and/or likes to play in big mountain terrain. Its main downside would be for those looking to do a lot of freestyle in the backcountry.

Let me know if you have any questions on this splitboard or anything else related to splitboarding equipment, I'd love to chat!

Quiver Position: Split - for powder and freeride

      My ideal quiver includes:

      Powder / Freeride-Freestyle / All-Mountain / Party or Jib / Split Board

      Quiver:

I've got a couple splits and this one hands down wins out every time. It's super lightweight which puts me at an advantage on the uphill and still rides incredibly well on the down hill. Plus I've got a Flagship for the resort and the Solution is the split version of that.

      My Do-Everything Split:

This split is the split of splits. From the mega light weight (Dan has the weight spec'd in his review) to the over all flex and shape, this board is killer for the backcountry. I've had it for a few season and absolutely love the thing. The only thing I would change is sizing up a little more for slightly better float in deep snow on the uphill and more float on the ride down as well. But if you're after a lightweight set up and an awesome ride, this is the board to go with. I've taken this up Shasta and side slipped 2000 feet of miserable 40 degree ice, ridden sun cupped snow on Rainier, ridden tight lines like Terminal Cancer in Elko and all over the Wasatch. I can't think of another split that I'd rather have had for those days.

      Set Up:

I've got mine set up as a hardboot set up. I personally love the ease of use of the set up, but I've also used it with other splitboard bindings like the Voile Speed Rails, etc. To me this board works great for a wide range of set ups.

      Board Selection:

There are a range of board options and this one might be for you....and it might not. Let's chat to make sure. We can also talk shop on boot, binding and board combos and how each part of the set up effects the others for your specific situation.
