    All-terrain freestyle hooligan.

Breathing fun into your all-terrain riding, the Jones Mountain Twin Snowboard excels at taking a freestyle approach to slaying powder, ripping through trees, and sending backcountry jumps. It's a directional twin that's centered along its effective edge for freestyle prowess, but with a longer nose (approximately 3/4 of an inch) for enhanced float and straight-line stability. Although it's most happy seeking the fresh stashes and natural hits of your local mountain, the Mountain Twin excels at spinning from kickers, blasting methods off hips, and even throwing some jibbing into the mix on days where you'd rather lap the park.

Maximizing versatility, the board's CamRock profile places responsive camber underfoot for the snappy drive and locked-in carving you've come to love from camber. After the inserts, the board transitions to a tip and tail rocker for catch-free freestyle, as well as extra buoyancy in deep snow. Ultimately, this hybrid profile delivers the best of both camber and rocker, maximizing the board's versatility while reducing the likelihood of catching an edge or submerging in deep snow.

New for this season, the Mountain Twin features a snappy Power Core that's borrowed from Jones' top-shelf boards, such as the Flagship and Aviator. This triple-density wood core features bamboo stringers for extra pop and paulownia for a lighter overall feel. Ensuring competence in downright icy conditions, the Mellow Magne-Traction grips into firm snow with ease, but without being overly grabby like the more aggressive Magne-Traction versions on the market.

    Solid all around board.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The Mountain Twin does a lot of things well. I sized up from my rocker/camber Never Summer Cobra 158 to a 162 in the Jones Mountain Twin and the float was noticeably better. It carves very well and right now I'm really appreciating how much more stable a cam/rock board feels underfoot, whether landing airs or simply pointing it at speed. I'm 6'0", 180 lb.s and coulda gone smaller for more agility but the extra float in powder was my first box that I wanted to check and I now have zero rear leg burn on even the deeper days. Good stuff!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I'm an all mountain rider, but I also like hitting the park and especially love slashing pow. This board does it all and is so much freaking fun. It's camber gives it tons of pop, but the rocker in the tips give it a lot of float in pow. Oh, and it rides switch like a dream. Well made board made for people who like to get after it.

    My First Jones

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

My first Jones board was a Mountain Twin and a board I loved to cruise on. The balance of weight with performance is why I went with this over other boards out there. There are other great options but at $499, this is a great price for a great board. this is the one board in Jones' line up that I feel is their Jack-of-all. Sure there will be other boards that excel even more in each category but those boards will struggle in all other areas. This is for the one-board quiver riders out there.

The CamRock profile is one that I love since it's nothing crazy but a nice tweak to the traditional camber profile boards of the 90's.
