Extremely versatile, the Explorer Splitboard features a directional shape with a snappy freestyle tail and pointy, prominent nose that rises early with a substantial dose of rocker. Ultimately, this provides the pow-floating performance of a directional board, without sacrificing its ability to send huge airs or spin off cliffs and natural drops.

A bit softer than Jones' other freeride-specific boards, such as the Flagship or Solution Splitboards, the Explorer features a versatile medium flex that's dialed for all-terrain riding. Its Classic Core is made of full poplar wood for a consistently tuned flex with plenty of snap for boosting airs. Biax fiberglass delivers a bit looser torsional flex for effortless edge-to-edge transitions, as well as a slashy feel when you're riding powder. And for reliable grip on icy skin tracks, Jones added Magne-Traction edges to the inner edges to help you handle the climb with confidence.
