Great things come from small packages.

Last time you went solo-backpacking you were running with so few accessories that you were searching for a water-worn rock bowl that you could boil water in for your MREs on the trail. You hadn't thought of all of the great miniature cooking tools you could have had until your stomach was grumbling for the 4th day in a row of not finding a sufficient cooking apparatus from nature. You don't have to be an expert on primitive technology and making bowls from river sediment anymore, now all you need to do is toss your Jetboil MiniMo Cooking System into your pack and you'll be delighted by the tasty treats you can whip up in the great beyond.

With one super-efficient butane burner, MiniMo can boil 16oz of water in only 2 minutes and 15 seconds, and it has an adjustable temperature gauge, so you don't have to scorch your food. Metal handles provide an easy handling point for both cooking and eating, and a lower spoon angle enables you to eat right from the cup. Smart for storage space, the MiniMo features sideways burner storage to minimize the space it needs in your pack, and an insulated drink-through lid means you can start your day with hot coffee and end it with hot tea by the fire to keep warm.

    • Mini stove for backpacking, camping, and climbing
    • Have a hot cup of tea at the top of the trail in under 3 minutes
    • Sideways burner storage takes up less pack space
    • Convenient piezo ignitor makes starting simple
    • Advanced simmer control with redesigned valve
    • Eat right from the cup with lower spoon angle

    Jetboil has nailed canister stoves

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This is the first canister stove I have used in over a decade. I got tired of messing with half full canisters, trying to weigh them and, disposing of empty ones. I frequently found myself either buying a new canister each time I went hiking or packing two. I also didn't like the hassle of disposing of the empty canisters. So I switched to alcohol, solid fuel, and white gas stoves.
Jetboil has made this easier. With smaller canisters (that fit inside the cook kit), a jet guage, and a crunch-it It feels like they have taken some of the hassle out of dealing with canisters.

I definitely recommend this stove. I've used it for groups up to three which is about as large a group as I can recommend. For for groups of 1-3 It is sufficient in size and super easy to use.

    Solid Product

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I hiked the PCT and this was my cook stove for the whole thing! It is a little heavy for thru hiking, but it was very efficient and held up for 5 months. You can control the flame better than the cylinder kind so you can actually make things and not just boil water.

    Jetboil MiniMo Stove

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The Jetboil MiniMo is a fantastic stove! he included cup works great and the insulation and foldable handles are very nice and keep you from burning yourself. I love having the ability to adjustable flame and the addition of the electric ignition was a must! Best of all, it all fits inside the cup, including the bottle of fuel!

    Finally I Upgraded!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I had the original jet boil and had beat the crap out of it over the past few years... I was pretty attached to it. Knew it was time to move on. My issue was always the width- the MiniMo is the way to go. Same high quality as the original, just all around better. I love this style rather than the more narrow- easier to cook in and eat out of. (Reduces the need for a bowl if you want to keep it minimalist). Highly recommend.

    You Can't Go Wrong!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Took this bad boy out on a small trip and it worked like a charm! I love how easy it is to pack and how fast it can boil water for my coffee! Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a good, small camping stove!

    My favorite!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I live in a van and use my Minimo EVERY MORNING to boil water to make coffee because it's so much faster and easier than setting up the whole cook stove to just heat water. And it's SO FAST. Now, whenever I'm in a house and using a normal stove, I get really impatient because it's so slow compared to the jetboil haha

    My favorite!

    Its a jet boil......

..........what else needs to be said. It does exactly what its supposed to do and does it well. It makes cold things hotter or boiling in short order in a good, lightweight package.

Hot water fast and less fuel consumption

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Jetboils are great when it comes to packability and efficiency. The minimo with do about two cups of coffee in under 5 minutes at 10,000ft. Which translates to boiling enough water in under 5 minutes to make two mountain house meals. Now that is amazing!

      Great stove

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought this based on other reviews and I must say that I love the stove. Our first use boiled 4 eggs in about 11 minutes from turning it on. I stored the fuel in the bowl and kept the burner out for spacing in my pack. The strainer lid is great to help reduce steam coming off and water loss. Boiled water quickly at 7000 ft.

      Great stove
      Unanswered Question

Looking at the pics I think I know the answer. But when taken apart can I fit everything into the cup? Stove unit, canister? Thanks.
