Why We Like The Jetboil Genesis Base Camp 2 Burner Cooking System
The Jetboil Genesis Base Camp 2 Burner Cooking System is a compact two-burner stove system that runs on a standard 16.4-ounce propane bottle and allows us to whip up everything from bacon and eggs for breakfast to spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. We especially like that the compact design allows the stove to fold together and nest in the included pot for easy carrying up to camp, but also limits the amount of space the system takes up in the back of our rig when car camping.

Top of the line cooking system
Excellent cooking system. Cooks faster than other 10k BTU systems. Not sure how this is possible but it will boil water in the same container in half as much time.

Great for Off-Roading and Overlanding!
I bought this to replace my CampChef BigGas Grill.i was skeptical at first as its size is so small and compact, however that was the objective, reduce the size of my equipment footprint without losing necessary conveniences. I can unequivocally recommend this product for remote cooking needs. I still cook 3 course meals while in the most remote places. I upgraded the fuel hose to connect to a propane tank onboard. I also upgraded to the Luna and today the Half Gen to extend the cooktop services. Awesome!

Genesis Comments
I work in equipment installations in reallly remote locations in Costa Rica and Panama, I needed an equipment that would provide me with certain features and this one has fulfilled what I needed at the moment. At certain times I need to cook for several people at other times just for me, I decided to buy in addition to the Genesis Base Camp a Minimo.

Best stove I have
I’ve used Traeger rangers, tailgaters, and camp chef grills and this has been by far superior and versatile. The straining lid on the pot is second to none. The only thing that worried me were the bad reviews of the fuel regulator.

Genesis System
Get it and get it fast! We waited until it was back in stock. It is fantastic. We take it camping and use a 5lb propane tank (with its appropriate connector instead of little propane tanks.

Nomad Nurse Food Prep
So I’m a Nomad Nurse. I car camp and couch surf for 5 nights a week. Firing up the Genesis Basecamp System in the middle of a park or highway rest area makes me feel at home because I can cook real food instead of eating the unhealthy fast food options seen at truck stops. I store 4-5 days worth of cooked food in a yeti cooler and microwave everything at work. It’s as close to eating normal while traveling as I can get and it’s more than enough to get me through the week. Great product. It fired up first time and to my surprise, the non-stick pan cleans up very easy too.
