    Must Have for Overnight Trips

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I use my JetBoil just to boil water. But I use that water for coffee and freeze dried food. Love the speed and efficiency and "take-it-anywhere" convenience of the JetBoil. I've had it on the tailgate of my truck and on camping trips in camp. When I am done with it, I let it cool down and then I pack it up into my pack. Nothing better for speed, convenience, and the value of having a hot meal can't be understated.

    MUST HAVE for backpacking

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

MUST have for backpackers or everyday adventurers! I take this with me backpacking, hiking, spur of the moment camping or even sleeping outside of stores for good deals on Black Friday :) All components (including the fuel if you buy the small) fit conveniently inside the stove. It’s super light and makes boiling water a fun task instead of a time consuming chore. Water boils in less than a minute and if nothing else is good for emergency preparedness.

    Perfect for One

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is the best personal cooking stove out there, you can boil water in a very short period of time, cook other dry items in it while camping, and pack everything down nice and small. I love that the logo on the side tells you when the water is boiling by changing color, and everything fits just right.

    Can't beat

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

have used one of these for over 5 years prior to buying this replacement (I lost the other one) and they are awesome! Nothing better for lightweight, rapid boiling of water in the backcountry. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for this specific purpose (quick and easy boiling of water).

    Life Changing

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Alright - let me tell you. I went backpacking in Coyote Gulch with some friends this summer. Majority of us brought our own cooking stove. After one night, we all shared just this one Jetboil. Why? Because it was faster than anything else we had, was easy to use, and heats water extremely fast and is super clean and mess proof! Because of this trip I've decided to bag my other stove from 2000 that takes up more space and has to have three other cups to use it. This one packs easy as well as everything fits inside of itself.
Basically this guy is fool proof and I would recommend it to everyone and anyone. Can't go wrong and you should buy it ASAP. Packs easy as well.
This 1L worked for 12 of us on one trip. I'd say it's a successful product!!!

Great for Car Camping and Backpacking

I've had a flash stove for a few years now and I bought it with the intention of using as a backpacking stove. Like many, I do not backpack as much as I'd like to but the stove has served it's purpose when making coffee and dehydrated meals while keeping things relatively lightweight. I've used this stove more frequently on car camping or river trips as my go to water boiler for coffee. It boils water at a rapid pace and has me drinking coffee before the rest of the crew wakes up. It doesn't boil a ton of water so you won't be preparing coffee for 30 people but for a couple people using a pour over, perfection. The color changing indicator on the side of the pot no longer works but it's not hard to tell when water is boiling. Love it so much, I just bought one as gift. Gamechanger!

      Super Reliable

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Lights up every time, I had an issue with wind blowing the flame out, but that was on me for picking a dumb spot, not on the stove. Used for a party of 4-6 on several trips and it worked like a charm and was very efficient as far as fuel usage. Also it's a nice way to passive aggressively wake up late sleepers.

      Quick and convenient

Extremely convenient, very fast, easy to setup, and packs away into itself.

Great for any water boiling needs when out camping. 2 cups of water boils in less than 1.5 minutes which is great when you are starving or wanting that morning cup of coffee. It is super simple to setup and only has a few parts that interlock together.

Much faster and easier to use than a normal camping stove. Additionally, when packing it away everything fits into the “cup” part so it doesn’t take up a large amount of space in your backpack or camping box. It works with fuel other than jetboils, but the 3rd party fuel canisters won’t fit into the cup when storing.

        Super Fast and Light

        • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

These things are great, boils water super fast and doesn't weigh too much or take up too much space in your pack. A Jetbboil is a must have for any backpacking trip!

        Igniter died

I’ve had my jetboil for over 2 years now and it’s been pretty great; hot chocolate after skiing, coffee while backpacking. I’ve used it at least 100 times. The igniter finally bit it, which means I have to light it with a lighter, which isn’t a huge deal, but it is a failure (and out of the warranty window). Strangely, it works in my kitchen (at 4500ft) but not on the trail (10k+). Also, the lid no longer seats on to the water vessel, and replacement lids aren’t available. I’m not sure I’d buy one again, even though I don’t have any real complaints. I do like the orange boil indicator, and the speed.

Packs small and gets the job done

          • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Heats up water so quickly! Definitely geared more towards heating beverages and soups, or water for dehydrated meals, but really good for that purpose.

          Super efficient

          • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Boils water in 1 minute...literally. I timed it. 60 seconds. So fast you don't have time to prep anything. Great for re-hydrating meals, making coffee, tea, cocoa, etc. Not good for other general cooking. If your backcountry meal plan requires cooking raw ingrediants, simmering, sauteing, or anything more involved than just adding boiling water, this isn't the right stove for you. But if you're just re-hydrating, pick one up. You wont' regret it. It's also super efficient in windy or cold temps and you won't waste fuel.

          Super efficient

          Boils Water Fast

I bought this as a graduation gift for my Sister-in-Law who took a job right out of college up in Yellowstone Park. She has the following to say: " I wanted to be able to cook a quick meal or boil water fast. I've used it a couple times already and its gets hot fast"

            One Hot Momma

            • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Heats things up fast and keeps them warm! Love the wilderness design and love that it has some measuring lines on the inside for those that don't travel with measuring cups or aren't good at eyeballing.

Can't wait to use it over and over again!

            One Hot Momma

            Years of Love

            • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've had my Jetboil for probably 8 years now, and really just love this stove. The fact that it can stow everything inside the canister needed to make it boil 4 cups/day for 5 days at sea level is just awesome. The quick boiling time is such a relief for mornings when you want to make coffee and breakfast from your sleeping bag in as few minutes as possible.

The downside (that I'm not docking a star for since it doesn't matter to me at all) is well documented - eventually your igniter will fail. Since redundancy is your friend, as long as you carry a strike igniter, or a lighter I suppose, you'll be fine and the JetBoil will just keep on making that flame.

            Boil water fast!

            • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I got this mainly for boiling water and could not be happier, recently have converted this to makng my coffee with the must have JetBoil Coffee Press! If you do not have the press, it is a game changer. But this stove is packable as well and I also carry a Jetboil MightyMo for my cooking.

            Must have.

            • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Cool little stove that packs a punch. No issues in the wind and lots of accessories are available to suit your needs. Boils water quickly and breaks down to a convenient traveling size. II only wish it came with a base to support a pan.
