I’m fairly new to the yoga world and tried a few different mats before coming across this one. Previous mats were too slippery and I was having difficultly staying in poses. One vinyasa session with this mat was all I needed. It’s super grippy and the extra thickness just cushioned my joints a little more. I haven’t had an issue with balance posss but some people may because of the added thickness. Overall, this mat is my game changer. I recommend this to anyone who has a slipping or sliding issue and of course anyone who does any kind of hot yoga would find this mat ideal as well. It is a little heavier than most mats and that should also be considered if you have to lug it a lot. Extra weight or not, this mat is perfect and exceeded my expectations.

Purchase as gift for my mom. She said she had no idea the cushion and support an upgraded mat would provide. No pain in knees during frog pose! Mat provides perfect grip and is large enough for all poses.
