River-runner in front, play in the back.

Some river sections are all about getting from the top to bottom, but many others—like Durango's Lower Animas—are best enjoyed slowly, with time to stop and enjoy different waves and hydraulics. Jackson Kayaks' Antix kayak fills that niche, offering a craft that's more of a traditional, stable river runner in the bow with a slicey stern for flipping the switch into freestyle mode.

When you and your crew are taking laps in the Snake's Alpine River Canyon this summer, the Antix will be great at catching sharp eddies right below Lunch Counter/Big Kahuna that allow you to sneak back up into the party, but it will also perform when you're shooting massive compression waves at 15,000 + CFS. Likewise, the Antix is not a standalone expedition boat, but it would be a great option for paddlers who are part of a larger multi-day party that want to have a kayak that steps to big water, but is also nimble enough to session a feature when/if conditions permit.

    • Crush the rapids and play spots with one boat
    • Stable bow for big drops and narrow creeks
    • Slicey stern for on-the-go freestyle
    • Light hull is nimble, fast, and carryable
    • GoPro-ready inserts for capturing footie
    • Item #JAK002N

Why are the size options, when selecting, S and M? When the kayaks are M & L?
