Ride like a superhero.
Wearing knee pads is somewhat like wearing a superhero cape. They might not actually alter your natural born abilities, but they sure do give you the confidence to try harder than without them, so you can explore what you really are capable of doing. When you want to test the limits and push a little bit harder, and you want the ability to charge uphill just as hard as down, reach for the Ion K-Lite R Knee Pads. Designed to give you just the right amount of protection, the pads are constructed with 3D-molded high-density memory foam that shields you from skin-shaving rocks and hits against stray branches and trail debris.
The Ion K-Lite R Knee Pads are designed to breathe, with a fully mesh back, and a perforated lightweight neoprene front that might not be as breathable as mesh, but provides an extra hit of protection for your thigh and shin. The pads secure into place with an assortment of different straps, including a hook-and-loop strap at the top of the thigh, wide internal silicone non-slip grip tape on the thigh and calf, and Ion's own unique Snug Loop that uses a sticky skin neoprene to form an X along the back of your calf and knee area, securing the pad from any slipping. The pads do not use a hardcap over the patella, making them more ideal for enduro and trail riding than big days riding DH, but if you're looking for something pedal-friendly that gives you more coverage than bare skin, or long shorts, the Ion K-Lite R Knee Pads are your ticket to protected knees.
