Embodying the mantra of enduro racing and riding, the Industry Nine Enduro 305 27.5in Wheelset excels at cranking up the steepest, most unrelenting climbs, then blasting down like a bona fide rocketship. Handcrafted just miles from the legendary trails of North Carolina's Pisgah National Forest, the Enduro 305 Wheelset offers the impressive durability and stiffness needed for conquering root and rock-laden singletrack across steep mountainsides. This rock-solid aluminum wheelset represents the second generation of I9's Torch Enduro series, bumping the inner width dimensions from an already robust 26mm to a stout 30.5mm.
By dramatically increasing the rim's inner width, the Enduro 305 Wheelset delivers exceptional traction by accommodating larger volume tires on the trail. Wider rims flatten out tire profiles leading to a less bulbous tire with increased sidewall support, allowing you to drop the pressure for better grip across demanding stretches of trail. Another major benefit is reduced sidewall burping, meaning you won't have to constantly check tire pressure when you're rallying through rough sections of trail. And because they're significantly wider, you'll reap the benefits of increased stiffness and support when you're launching off trail obstacles, bursting out of corners, and tracking through chunky rock gardens.
This wheelset comes with I9's highly acclaimed Torch hubs, which feature a six pawl driver with three-degree engagement for instantaneous power the moment you step on the pedals. The 32-hole Torch Hub and spoke platform reduces excess weight without compromising strength or riding prowess on the trail. Tapered spokes enhance durability without penalizing your acceleration with excess weight, making this wheelset aptly suited for fulfilling your enduro racing dreams and trail-slaying ambitions.
The Enduro 305 27.5in Wheelset is tubeless ready and comes with Presta valve stems and rim tape already installed. Choose between a Shimano/SRAM 9/10-speed or XD1 driver for SRAM's XX1 cassette.

- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Technically, Iâve been riding the 26â hoop rather than the 27.5 hoop seen here but the build quality and hubs remain the same. The weather has been terrible for dirt jumping so these have seen 6 months of skatepark abuse from casing pool lips to slamming rails. The first few months I put them in a truing stand every few weeks to check them out and each time they were straight as an arrow and tension was spot on throughout. I finally stopped checking until this week I had a pretty rowdy session with the guys I thought they may need a look. Yet again, didnât need to touch them! Besides the build quality, the material and design of i9 is second to none. The rim logos are lazer etched so Iâm assuming rock strikes will not faze the logos which keeps them looking clean and fresh vs some torn/busted up decals. I typically hate straight pull spokes but i9 does the straight pull the right way. An Allen key head with a traditional nipple shape base would make truing easy (I wouldnât know) vs straight pull spokes you have to figure out how to keep from twisting when tightening nipples. Thatâs the hoops and spokes. Where these really shine is the hub. I do have this hubset on my trailbike and these are audible enough to make hikers jump off the trail, even if you arenât going as fast as they sound. Proven and relatively inexpensive enduro bearings, the most reliable 6 paw driver on the market, and killer 3 degree engagement for the techy stuff. Youâre looking at the best alloy Wheelset money can buy, youâll love everything about them. Iâm just trying to figure out which bike to put my next set on.
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
First, buying from Competive Cyclist and couldn't be happier with my Gearhead rep, Cory Rusher. Secondly, the I9 wheels rock. Very light, wide and superb quality.
The Gold Standard
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Industry Nine hit the scene years ago with a quicker engaging hub than just about every other competitor out there. Their innovative take on R&D, right in their backyard of Pisgah NF, has set them apart in the world of high end wheels. The Torch hubs are still on tap to win races, and the introduction of an entirely updated platform of wheel dimensions is going to take them to the next level. It's no surprise that more and more companies are spec'ing their bikes with OEM parts from Industry Nine. This updated Enduro 305 doesn't rest on the laurels of its predecessors, it towers above. The added internal rim width offers a cleaner tire profile and additional Smash-n-Grab capabilities. If you like to point and shoot down gnarly trails or huck off the steeps, you need a set of these. Get with me for more info and I will be happy to get you rolling on a pair.
My Schedule is as follows:
I can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org, on Chat as Sean Z, or by phone at 801-736-6396 x 4739
Do these come with a Sram driver installed , or would I need to install one separately?
The SRAM XD variant comes stock with the SRAM XD driver body.
They aren't sold as single wheel? I own a 650b Torch Enduro pair (bought from you guys) and I would the 305 just in front only and keep my 26mm internal in the back, thanks.
Unfortunately we only stock these wheels as wheelsets. If you would like, I'm sure that we could special order you just a single wheel. Reach out to me at email@example.com if that is something you may want to do.
