I was getting to the point where I was afraid to take my young strong dog out at night, never knowing when I'd hit a patch of black ice. Icebugs to the rescue. I've had them less than a week in the melt/refreeze season in New England and I once again feel confident. They are so easy to get on and off at the door. My only complaint is that they do make a crunchy sound on dry pavement, but that is minor compared to the thought of splatting out on the ice injured and alone in the dark.
