    Great Circulation

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Ever since I got a pair of compression ski socks last year, I have been hooked. They are SUPER comfortable- they're supportive without being too tight, and my calves have felt noticeably better after a long day on the slopes. That being said, it also does feel really good to peel these off at the end of the day...
Compared to my other pair (also Icebreaker) these are a bit thicker. I was originally concerned about it seeing as how I didn't want to cause any additional pressure points, but after riding in them, they really don't cause any issues. I actually find the slightly thicker weave to be comfortable, a little bit of extra cush.
All in all, if you're after a pair of womens compression ski socks, look no further- these are amazing!

    Just right.

These have just the right amount of compression and just the right amount of thickness. If the sock is too thick, it creates pressure points in the ski boots, and can make your feet numb. If the compression is too tight, the muscles will cramp up.

Smartwool got it just right on these. The affects of the compression seem noticeable to me. I do feel like my legs are less achy, at the end of the day. I also find them warm, however I do use toe warmers.

I highly recommend these. I'm a size 9 and the mediums are great.

I only leave 5 stars, if I have put it through the wringer.

I was nervous about these socks because they are thicker than my current ski sock, and they have compression. I was afraid both those things would make my calves ache. If the compression is too tight, the muscles ache, and if the sock is too thick, the boot hurts, and can even numb my feet.

I am happy to report that it is the opposite! The compression is only noticeable when you put the sock on. After that, they feel but firm, but normal. I have noticed better circulation, after a full 7 hour ski day. Also, they are not too thick. My boots didn't hurts with them on. So, I'm very happy with these. Also, my hands got cold before my feet did, which is abnormal. I guess with these socks, it may become normal!!

Reach out to me, if you have more questions on this, or anything else.

    Great ski sock

I wanted to try compression socks for skiing, mainly because my feet get really cold while I'm skiing, even with new ski boots. While these haven't completely solved my problem, the socks are very low profile, while keeping my foot a little warmer. Overall I prefer the tightness of the sock. It keeps everything compact in my boot.
