Perfect shorts for everyday
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shorts are so comfortable. I just wish they had cargo pockets on both sides and not just one.

Newest design: dumpy fit. 2020 fit: perfection
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, I have (3) gray pairs of these shorts in the exact same size and wear them daily (weather permitting). I decided to treat myself and buy the navy pair. Unfortunately, the fit is completely different: wider legs—just awkwardly baggy all around. I’m not sure why the navy color is different than the slim fitting perfection of the gray pair(s) but the navy is not the same.

Light weight and adjustable
Can’t wait to wear these shorts. They are a really flattering length and can be adjusted a bit in the waist as there is an elastic on the inside, which I have pulled and knotted, as my waist is smaller than what is demanded by my legs.

Shorts for comfort.
This is my second pair of theses shorts - They are excellent - great for tramping, golf (lots of great pockets) and just general everyday wear.

Versatile shorts for every day
Bought these to play golf and go hiking in. They've been ideal for both, well tested in the rain and the sunshine. Quick drying after the rain and comfortable in 35 degrees of heat. The fact I grabbed them on sale was a bonus. Recommended.

Looking forward to wearing in warmer weather!
I bought these in the sale half price, so the size I would have ordered was sold out. I ended up getting the 28, instead of the 29 (I’m a UK size 10) & they fit perfectly. They seem very comfy & look to be perfect for hiking in warmer weather, well made as usual by Icebreaker! I doubt I would have shelled out full price though!

Stylish and functional
I had been searching for a while for hiking shorts that would take me from trekking a mountain to my local hiking trail. These fit the bill - lightweight, the perfect length ensuring that they don't "tighten & jam" when lifting the knee high to climb over a rock or log, and the pocket depth is perfect for my mobile phone.

Merino Persist Shorts
I bought a pair two years ago and I find them the most comfortable hiking shorts. I do need to wear a belt with them and I think the stretch material makes them a little on the generous side. I am usually a AUS10-12 and my previous size was 29. I decided to go down to the 28 this time and they fit perfectly although I am happy to wear the looser 29s which fit a little lower on my hips. There is a slight itch on the first wear but this disappears after a few washes. The British Tan does show stains and dirt but they wash beautifully. Would love to see the darker grey return or perhaps have other darker colours added to this range. I also bought the Persist pants and they are still going strong too. In summary, expensive items but worth it (particularly if you can secure them on sale). They last so I consider them a very good investment in quality hiking apparel.

Sizing a bit weird
These shorts look amazing. I ordered size 28 as the size guide indicated. Sadly they are way too big (size 28 is labelled as US 28, UK 10) and there are no longer any smaller sizes in stock. So I can't wear them and will return them. I am a size 10 with a 30-31 inch measured waist. Size 10 trousers and jeans fit fine and they typically measure 31 inches round the waist. These shorts measure 33 inches. And so are 2 inches too big for me. They are too big across the hips too so the draw-cord in the waist doesn't help. Maybe they are mislabelled? I wanted a pair of decent shorts for ages and had high hopes for these. I love Icebreaker clothes, have worn them for 10 years now and have several tops. Disappointed.

Like walking nude....
Wow! I was surprised. So thin so light. Wearing them on my Hikes during this year's very hot summer days, it is like walking nude. You can't feel this light fabric. No seams on the "wrong place" I personal, would loved to have a side pocket for my mobile. As the back pocket was 0.5 cm to shallow for my mobile (iphone 11) With no side pocket the Persisit Shorts looks quite good also for a dinner....just swap your sport t-shirt to a more casual icebreaker top and you are good to go. I loved the waist drawcord, no need to use a bulky belt. Adjusts just fine. They might be a bit big in size as I had to change for a smaller one. And it is a bit more fabric at the hips than I am used to. But with that said, it is not a bad thing, as the shorts looks great on- both for hikes and dinner.
