These are great for hot weather. Very light and breathable. They are very thin, but that's the point. They aren't see-through thin though and are still quite durable. I've had a few pairs for a year now and they are still like new. I use them for cycling.

very lightweight and great for summer
I have had these for a couple months now and really like them. They are quite a bit thinner than other icebreaker socks ive worn, which make them much lighter and a little more airy feeling on my feet. Since these are lighter, I doubt they will last as long as other (thicker) icebreaker socks, but its a sacrifice I'm willing to take during the summer heat.

I am glad I bought these off steep and cheap because I would be really upset if I paid $15 a pair for these. I was looking for a thinner alternative to the Stoic Merino Comp Trail No-Show Sock. This will not be my go to sock. I have worn the socks fewer than 10 times and the bottom of the heel and the back of the heel have worn through. These are lightweight and comfortable. The durability is the only reason for the poor rating. Not at all what I am used to from Icebreaker.

Hey RTP, Jeff here from the Icebreaker team... We're truly sorry to hear you weren't pleased with the multisport sock. Sounds like you're a serious runner. If willing to give the brand one more chance, we highly recommend the run+ ultralight sock. We recently updated the manufacturing of these socks which are now ALL coming out of a high-end italian factory. Buy it...and if you don't love running in it reach back out to our own CS team and they'll take good care of you! Cheers, Jeff

I purchased these for my husband and he loves them. They are comfortable and time will tell if they are durable. Good quality socks.

Paper thin and disposable
If you like your socks to be worn once and you enjoy socks with holes in the ankles these are the brand for you.

These socks are very comfortable and cool. They keep my feet temperature regulated in the hot desert Summer here in Utah. I wear a size 11 and a L is perfect. I would definitely recommend them!

These are so amazing. Lightweight and comfortable. I wear these everyday. I am a 10.5 so I bought both medium and large since they overlap. I like how the medium fits better. The flap piece on the ankle isn't as loose. These are 100% my favorite!!

Great for Multiple Sports
This sock is lightweight and awesome for multiple sports! I've worn these biking, climbing, and running and love they performance I've experience with these socks. These socks are easy to slip on/off and have a great comfortable, snug fit. The breathability is great in this lightweight sock!

The socks are true to fit. Lite, supportive, and durable. Probably my favorite pair of socks.

Lightweight, soft, and good wicking, but
I ran a few times in these socks. They are lightweight, soft to the skin (despite being wool), and wick sweat away well. But, I would buy a size down because they run a little large. I experienced some slipping and blisters with them.

Great for Mountain Biking
I use these for mountain biking. I liked the first pair so much, I bought a second pair. I'm not a runner, but love them for biking. The fabric is soft, easy to slip on and off, but stays in place. I also bought a pair of icebreaker's casual/lifestyle socks, and I find these to be much more comfortable. I wear a womens 9.5 shoe and bought the size L sock. Fits perfect.

Not for running Not for running
I must say that I expect something advertised as multisport to be apt for running. Not the case for me. I could tolerate these for a mere 3+ miles before getting ridiculous blistering on the soles of my feet and some of my toes. They work for just walking around and basic calisthenic type exercise. I would not go for these if you are looking for good running socks. Perhaps I will try their socks that were actually designed for running. I have been very happy with the Smartwool running socks.

My husband uses these for all kinds of stuff and the main gripe is that they are too slippery and very thin. If thats what you like in a sock then by all means buy these. On the plus side they are very breathable.

Not much better than synthetics
The socks are comfortable when worn all day. Not quite as odor resistant as I had hoped. I've worn them with various shoes and each time came away socks that didn't smell much better than my synthetics.

These are some of the lightest weight merino socks that Icebreaker makes. To get a super thin sock you have to decrease the amount of merino that goes into the sock and increase the amount of synthetics. Hence these will retain order more than other merino socks with higher merino contents.

I'm using these for tennis. They are comfortable and durable, and they breathe well. Probably because of the synthetics in the blend, they slide more easily in my shoe than the alpaca socks I used to wear but can't find now. So for tennis there is a bit of a stability problem, but they're still much, much better than cotton or all synthetic.
