Stinks like cheap chemical dyes
Had high hopes for a go to top to lounge in or to pull over whenever I needed a snuggle, a touch of warmth. I thought I scored! with the discount, nope. The black is too black, fake black if you know what I mean. I guess that explains the smell too, since usually the strong chemical colorants are needed to really permeate the fabric. There is something unnatural about the dyes and the chemical smell - tires? cheap imported shoes? lead tainted bright colored toys type of smell. Been a while since I got a new Icebreaker and wasn't expecting so many pieces to stink. Kind get why they have the new pricey "natural dye" line now - if you don't want the stink, pay more and more. The seamless leggings also had the smell but not as in your nose as this one. The t-shirt I had my bf try stunk too and I wasn't the one who noticed - he accepted my gifts of Icebreaker shirts in the past - this time he pulled it off immediately saying it stinks and we just didn't talk about it. Sad to see the quality going down. Back to this top - the style was almost good, but not quiet as perfect fit as I hoped though of course the color and the smell already put me off.

Tramping and travel winner
I took this away on my South Island adventure that involved multi day tramps and hanging out in the city. It was awesome for both. It layers beautifully for the outdoors and was cozy on it's own indoors and during the day. So stoked I bought it.

Lightweight transeasonal piece
Bought as a transeasonal piece for spring/summer. Lovely soft texture but rather expensive for what it is. I prefer the 100% merino products by icebreaker though the cute of this top is contemporary and flattering.

Lightweight and warm
I love this sweatshirt. It’s much thinner and lighter than your typical fleece sweatshirt but twice as warm. Perfect for adventures outdoors and stylish enough for everyday casual class. Exactly what I wanted.

Waistband is loose
Well made, quality material but I was hoping the bottom would be more fitted and therefore warmer. I bought it for an extra layer for yoga but it falls towards my head when I go upside down.
