Magical merino.

Made of merino wool, Icebreaker's Flexi Chute Neck Gaiter is a non-itchy choice for winter casual and chilly ski days. Merino wool also thermally regulates your body temperature and naturally resists odor.

Warm and cute!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Like the other reviewers have mentioned it's a bit long but works great doubled up. I have sensitive skin and didn't find the wool itchy at all. When it got hot, I just folded it some more and used the gaiter as a headband. Easy for me to get over my head, whereas something like turtle fur is a tight fit.

Icebreaker ICE004N

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: one size
  • Height: 5'8"
  • Weight: 180lbs

fit is a bit too snug for my 17" neck. based on photos on thought it would be a bigger circumference. will probably give to wife or grandkids.

Great gaiter

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Wore this on a three day ski trip. Its pretty long on me so I actually folded it in half to double the fabric and the warmth around my neck. Kept me warm and dried quickly.

My go-to gaiter

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love merino and this gaiter is my favorite. It works equally well as a neck gaiter and a beanie/hat. I use this snowshoeing a lot. I usually start with it on my neck, then as I get warmer I take my beanie off and double it up as a 2-layer beanie (with a twist at the top, buff style). 10 min later when I'm too hot, I change it to a single-layer beanie. Fantastic piece of gear that I use for snowshoeing, hiking, and mountain biking.

For those who aren't familiar with Merino wool, it's the greatest stuff on earth. It's soft like cotton, stays warm when wet, and doesn't retain odor. I have several of these gaiters because they're so comfy and useful.

Extremely comfy and warm.

Extremely comfy and warm. The only downside for me is the length of it. It is roughly 19 inches long. The upside of the length would be it bunches up enough that it feels warmer than a 200wt piece. A clear case of its strength also being it's weakness, at least for me.

Extremely comfy and warm.

Hello, I need some type neck gaiter that I can wear with my motorcycle helmet to keep neck and ears warm. What would you recommend? Don't want something tight and binding. Thanks..

This will indeed help, but something with Gore Windstopper , like the Marmot Windstopper Neck Gaiter, should be much better, on a motorcycle.

Hi all, does this gaiter have elastic on the top? I can't tell from the photo, but it looks like it might have elastic. My current neck warmer doesn't, so it slips down often after I've placed it up over my nose. Something I'd like to avoid!
