Stay comfortable and sweeter-smelling under your backpack or ski jacket

When you need temperature regulation and comfort over the long haul, the Icebreaker Women's BodyFit 200 Oasis 1/2-Zip Top is there for you. Whether layered under your ski jacket or worn under your backpack on a multi-day trek in the mountains, this versatile baselayer keeps you comfortable. Merino wool is breathable, regulates temperature and controls odor thanks to its natural antimicrobial properties. So you can put this top through multiple days of sweaty pursuits and still be able to snuggle your tent companion. The zip collar provides extra warmth when zipped up or extra venting when zipped down for an added level of temperature control. Offset shoulder seams allow room for backpack straps to sit flat on fabric to prevent seam rubbing and side seams are moved toward the back to prevent chafing. A drop-tail hem provides extra rear coverage.

    High Quality

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size

I was SO skeptical by how thin this baselayer was but I decided to give it a try anyways because of the big hype over Icebreaker and now I TOTALLY understand why! This baselayer keeps me warm AND dry when I go out skiing. I couldn't even tell that I was sweating the first time I was wearing it because it does such a good job at wicking moisture away from the body. The zippered neck was also a great feature to have- when I needed a bit more warmth I zipped it up and times when I needed to cool off, I just zipped it back down. Don't be turned off by the wool material because this doesn't even feel like wool at all- it's so soft and smooth against your skin. No itching at all!

    Great daily wear baselayer

Very comfortable. The merino is pretty soft - not as soft as cotton soft but it feels great on the skin. Fits a little more loose than I could like but it's still nice.

    Highest Quality Baselayer

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: XS
    • Height: 5'7"
    • Weight: 120lbs

I bought this baselayer for winter workouts....but the fabric and fit are so nice I was tempted to use it for casual use vs. activities. The material is super soft with good stretch and the fit is fantastic - love the collar that stands up just a bit. Very happy with this purchase.

    New favorite baselayer!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Small
    • Height: 5'4"
    • Weight: 120lbs

This was my first time trying one of the Icebreaker baselayers and I'm completely hooked. Now that fall is well underway, we decided to go camp up in the Uintas last weekend - the spot we chose ended up being super rocky so we ditched the tent and slept in the back of the truck. With a high of 60 during the day and around 30 when the sun went down, this half zip was the perfect top to hang in all day and made for the ideal baselayer under my puffy at night. It's super soft and comfy with an almost silky feel, none of that itchiness I always get from wool (sensitive skin probs). I was also hyped on the fit - the sleeves didn't swallow me and the neck didn't choke me when it was all zipped up. This has to be my new favorite baselayer and I can't wait to wear it touring this winter!

    Perfect base layer

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 5'4"
    • Weight: 135lbs

I love the fit and feel of this shirt - I am 5'4 and the length in the body and in the sleeves is ideal for me. It is extremely comfortable and even after wearing it on multiple hiking and kayaking trips there was no odor. On top of everything else, it is flattering and thick enough (in black) that I am comfortable wearing it on its own. For these reasons, I find myself reaching for it over and over again instead of my synthetic base layers.

    First Icebreaker purchase!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Size Bought: S
    • Height: 5'4"
    • Weight: 119lbs

I was recommended Icebreaker by my cousin, having always worn other wool brands previously. I absolutely love this top and will definitely be get more Icebreaker gear.
The fit is really flattering, which can be tricky to find in a base-layer. It's not at all itchy and kept me super toasty while skiing last weekend.
I have this in the Tulip color, which is a pretty coral pink. I've only worn it under other layers so far, but it's most definitely cute enough to wear to work or apres.
I normally wear XS, but I purchased this in small and it fits great.

    I want six!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size

Have been struggling to find a zip-neck base layer for skiing that's 1. Non-steenky; 2. Warm, but not hot; 3. Non-itchy; 4. Flattering. This baby wins, all around.

Have not washed it yet (two sweaty spring-skiing days, no stink yet) - washability will be the final test before I dig in to buy another one. Or two. Or four.

(5'5" 125, strong build, size small is perfectly almost snug)

    Don't leave home without it!!!!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs small

My wife has a few of these icebreaker tops (too many if you ask me). She says they fit perfectly; the sleeves are the right length and the bottom of the shirt stays tucked into a bottom baselayer. She does admit that she upsized from initially ordering a medium (and is typically a medium) to ordering a large to gain length in the sleeves. It is soft next to the skin and this is the way to wear it for optimal performance. It really is true that you can wear this top up to around 3 times just air drying it before it needs a real wash - it has great anti microbial properties. When you have Icebreaker around that is 100% true merino with great fit and comfort, there is absolutely no reason to get any type of wool product with any sort of polypropylene blend. Hurry up while they still have your size.......

    New favorite top!

    • Fit: True to size

This Oasis 1/2 zip has become my new favorite top! The merino wool is really soft, feels softer then most other brands I've tried. The fit is true to size, I am 5ft4in, 100 pounds and the XS is the perfect fit! It's comfortable and really moves well with my body when being active. I love the cognac color, it's a midnight blue color and really pairs well with many things!

This weight is really great for many activities, it's a perfect layering piece. It's was perfect for backpacking, climbing, and hiking this summer and I'm stoked to be going into the winter with this piece. I climbed multiple days in this shirt and worked up a nice sweat getting some pre-season turns in, and the shirt still doesn't stink. Maybe I always smell good or the shirt doesn't hold odor!

Skeptical on wool? Don't be! Wool is my favorite material, it's light, odor-less, and breathes very well. Merino wool is NOT itchy! Icebreaker is my go to for wool products, there quality is top notch and solid durability. I have put many Icebreaker merino wool products through the wringer and they are all still holding up in good condition.

So many places to wear this shirt!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Love this shirt, light weight and super soft.

I am 5 feet 7 inches 115 lbs with a 34 A bust. I wear the small, XS fits as well, but I prefer to have a little extra room to move as I am an active person.

I have worn this hiking, running, bouldering and also paired it with a skirt and boots to work.

Love a do it all piece!
