Nice fit, should have a liner

Well made, nice stylish fit, good wool, albeit a little thin. I’m curious to see how it will hold up on a cold day without additional insulation underneath, especially since there’s no liner to help block the wind. The lack of an inner liner makes it feel a little unfinished, even though it’s apparent the design was intended this way.

The wool quality, the cut, and the construction of this garment suggest the original, unaffordable, price. Apart from the zipper, closures, and some subtle sleeve reflection, this is a few fashionably cut, well-sewn, slabs of thick, dense merino wool. The relaxed fit necessitates dropping a whole size (unless you're going for a Garfield's owner/ 90's detective look--belt not included. Tried a M, and decided to exchanging for a S. I can't remember the last time I wore a small overcoat. The arms and shoulders are nicely cut, the relaxed is more in the chest and hips. I'm optimistic about how this configuration will scale down to a S. ITS SIMPLE: the thick/dense slabs of well-cut wool that comprise the jacket speak for themselves! I love the cut, color and simplicity, but I will definitely be adding a smooth, thin liner for texture and color contrast. The unstructured hood could use a liner for weight and shape. Add a liner to this Jacket to make it the perfect deal. Oh, and it's warm. In the few minuets that I was trying it on over a light sweater inside, the heat that was building up underneath the jacket was becoming alarming; I had to take it off kinda in a hurry. Did i mention the wool is thick? If you like minimalist chic outerwear this is a steal at the sale price, once the liner's in.

This is a great jacket with plenty of style to work for most occasions. The only issues I really have are the extremely loose fit (fine for layering I suppose) and the weirdly large/awkward hood (I haven’t worn it with a beanie yet but imagine that would help it to feel less awkward). It’s not super warm but it is warm and as mentioned, layering would help being that it’s fairly loose. Overall, I’m happy with the order but think I should have tried a medium (I have zero tops or jackets that are a medium). For my size, I have a fairly muscular chest, shoulders, and arms.
