Warm Soft Base Layer for Storm Days
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fits perfectly and keeps you warm on big storm days. Wore this base layer and my storm jacket and was perfect for super cold temps.

250 base layer
I walk everyday. Sometimes in -30 with windchill probably 35. I am perpetually freezing person and I wasn’t cold once this winter. My previous pair I’ve had for 3 years and loved them so much I bought a new pair so I didn’t have to wash so often.

Bought another - great baselayer
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The Vertex Long Sleeve Crewe Alpine is warm, cozy and comfortable. Love the pattern. I have this baselayer in snow/flash. Just had to purchase another- black snow/ white. Great to wear walking or hiking with my dog.

Looks great, feels great
This is the perfect, heavier base layer, needed for skiing and hiking in winter. Love the design and fit.

Warm cold weather layer
A great Alberta winter layer for outdoor walks and snowsports. Length of sleeves and shirt is a bit longer in fit but shoulders/body are the same as all my Oasis 200 tops. Extra length adds to the warmth factor.

Fantastic top
This is my all time favorite top. It’s warm without being too bulky and it breathes well too. It’s not just a base layer. I wear it with jeans, joggers and pants and it looks great.

Too Itchy but Otherwise Good
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The overall quality is high—a beautiful weave that looks excellent in person. Alas, it is too itchy for my sensitive skin. In an earlier era of Icebreaker (2005-ish), I owned a handful of their products and the merino was extremely soft and not at all itchy. It seems that Smartwool has surpassed Icebreaker in terms of soft wearing merino these days. I am 5'6" and 138lbs. The small was quite long (again, represented on the model), but otherwise fit perfectly.
