Ripley X01 Eagle Mountain Bike

The Ibis Ripley is the do-it-all trail bike that is equally at home toeing the line at our local XC race and tackling all-day trail adventures in search of gnarly lines. 120mm of DW-Link rear travel is bolstered by a Fox Factory Float DPS shock keeps us efficient on the climb and also offers exceptional traction to keep us moving when it gets steep. With the same longer, steeper, slacker geometry as the Ripley V4, the V4S maintains that perfect balance of flat-out speed and technical capability but gets an updated swingarm for a futureproof 55mm chainline, stiffer, more supportive chainstays, and even room for larger chainrings up front so we don’t feel like we’re gear hunting all the time. The short offset 130mm Fox Factory 34 fork paired with a 66.5-degree headtube angle and 29in wheels for snappy handling and easy maneuverability to keep us rolling over just about any obstacle.

The Ibis Ripley X01 Eagle mountain bike strikes a perfect balance between high performance and durability for this build. To start, the 12-speed SRAM X01 Eagle drivetrain offers crisp shifting, even when we need to shift last minute in those technical sections, and plenty of climbing range with a 10-52t cassette that keeps our pedals spinning on those seemingly vertical climbs. Ibis specs their new Blackbird Send 29er wheelset that are built to withstand gnarly hits and eliminate pinch flats so we can get rowdy without worry. A pair of 4-piston Code RSC brakes let us stop on a dime or modulate our speed for high-precision rock gardens, while the low standover height allows for a long Bike Yoke Revive dropper post on every size so we can get our saddle completely out of the way.
