Why We Like The Ibis DV9 XX SL Eagle AXS Transmission Mountain Bike
A versatile hardtail that is fun to ride no matter what trail we are riding on. We love the Ibis DV9 XX SL Eagle AXS Transmission mountain bike for its lightweight, agile frame, versatility, and trail-oriented geometry. The DV9 features a moderately slack, 66.5-degree head tube angle when equipped with a 120mm fork, which helps to give us stability and keep our front wheel out in front of us on the descents. Short 425mm chainstays make for a super agile rear end, while a low standover height and short seat tube allow us to install longer dropper posts for our perfect fit. Size-specific seat tube angles of 74-76 degrees allow riders of every size to enjoy an efficient pedaling position, allowing us to make short work of technical climbs. The DV9 frame is made of premium carbon fiber and features an integrated downtube protector, chainstay protector, internal cable routing, and two water bottle mounts.
This build of the Ibis DV9 is fully equipped with the best Ibis has to offer. First, SRAM's new XX SL Eagle AXS Transmission drivetrain gives us the latest in the electronic drivetrain world, providing us with near-bombproof and reliable electronic shifting that can self-adjust and shift under load. Ibis carbon rims and a carbon handlebar help shed some weight and add stiffness to our ride, making this already ultralight trail machine even more capable. Industry Nine Hydra hubs and Maxxis Rekon Race tires complete the lower half of the bike and add some serious value. For reliable stopping power, Ibis equipped this build of the Dv9 with Shimano's XTR, 2-piston brakes with renowned modulation and consistency. A Fox Factory 34 120mm fork provides loads of compression and rebound adjustments, and an SRAM Reverb AXS dropper post allows us to make changes in our saddle height electronically.
*Due to a high demand in the global supply chain and bike industry since the start of the pandemic, material weight and exact components are subject to change. We are working diligently to keep tech specs updated, and any adjustments will be of equal or better spec level.
