Too big for this cooler
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I actually reached out to HydroFlask to ask if this size pouch would work well for this cooler. They said it would. But the thing is so heavy it topples over the cooler when it’s empty. Ridiculous. I love how well the HydroFlask soft coolers work for a day use. I def like other robust coolers for day+ cooler use. Fail.

Keeps cold and comfortable carry
Excellent cooler functionality with the huge exception of the difficulty of putting things in and removing them from the cooler. The opening is so narrow and the entire cooler is pretty narrow overall. I wished it had the functionality of the shoulder carry version with the wide opening to easily access food containers. It does keep food very cold and I'm excited to have a waterproof cooler for paddling excusions.

Works great!

Very Convenient!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never known I needed the Hydroflask Orca Medium Dry storage for my electronics when out and about with a cooler and I could not go back now. Being in mid Texas heat, water activities are a must to stay cool and I would struggle where to put my phone so it wouldn’t get damaged by water or anything else. It attaches to my 26 L Day Escape Soft Cooler Tote (sold separately) on a side pouch. It is very sturdy and such quality material that your phone or anything else will not have a chance of water seeping through. The construction on it is leagues above any other I have seen. The pouch has a cool feature when your phone is in there you can still use it through the window. I cannot rave about this enough. Highly recommend!

Works Great!

Love Hydro Flask!

Does not take up a lot of space in our storage closet when we aren't using it, too! We use this to bring snacks in the car for our boys, and it's something we find ourselves reaching for numerous times throughout the week.

Dry means dry, and I love it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love all my Hydro Flask gear, and still use my years old water bottle, working good as new, and comfortable like an old tee shirt. Recently I’ve been using and loving the Day Escape Soft Side Cooler that Hydro Flask knocked out of the park, so I had high expectations for the Orca Medium Dry Storage Bag that is made to hitch a ride along side the cooler. I will say first, it’s a well crafted, sturdy, useful companion to the cooler, but it is a bit awkward to open until you get used to it. When they say dry, they mean dry. I have no qualms about leaving anything in this pouch...I’d leave my last will and testament in this thing, such is its vacuum tightness. It uses the same seal as the cooler itself, or so I believe. Whereas the cooler has a zipper type opener, this pouch has a removable plastic sheath that comes off completely, tethered by a red cord so you can’t lose it. Once that is removed you peel the pouch open like breaking into a plastic sandwich bag. The good news is that it isn’t anything like a sandwich bag when trying to shut it (and wondering if you succeeded), as the plastic sheath slides on and reseals the bag for you. Now that I’m used to the design I quite like it, and it really is well engineered, doing its job perfectly, keeping what you put inside totally safe from the elements. This is especially important as the pouch sits lower than the top of the cooler, so any water or ice spillage could potentially ruin things like your cell phone, ID, or other important items, but you absolutely don’t have to worry about that with the Orca. I don’t want to belabor the point, but once it is sealed, you won’t have to give your dry things a second thought. You could use this without the cooler of course, and it would do its job just as well, though now that I have it attached, I’m not keen to remove it. That isn’t to say it is difficult to attach...quite the opposite, just thread the velcro straps through the fabric eyelets beneath the side straps of the Day Escape, and you are ready to roll. The front of the Orca has a thinner rubber “window” so you can see at a glance what you have inside. This is a perk, and I’m happy to have it. I’ve included a picture with a phone inside so you can get an idea of both how large, and how opaque the window is. I mainly like it as I can press the bag to wake up my phone to check the time without removing my phone. The phone in question is the largest size they make, if that helps with the context. Happy to have the Orca Medium Dry Storage pouch, and while I wouldn’t mind it being larger, I certainly wouldn’t want it smaller. As everything I own from Hydro Flask, it's well crafted and built to last. I do recommend, particularly if you have one of Hydro Flask’s coolers.

Nice accessory

The pouch is quite roomy and I could have easily fit some more things in it that needed protection. Nice pouch, will come in handy.

Neat features!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This little bag is great for waterproofing your belongings while out kayaking, at the beach, etc. The seal seems very durable and so far no water has gotten in. The pouch itself is pretty heavy duty and fairly large (about the size of a tablet). One super cool feature is the touch screen window. You can put your phone at the front of the pouch and the window is made of a material that allows you to use your phone without taking it out of the bag. The only drawback to this pouch is the attaching mechanism. It’s difficult to explain, but the straps are kind of separated and don’t really come together to latch around something. It’s difficult to get the pitch attached to things. Overall though, neat product and idea!
