I use this as a
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this as a lunch/ tool box at a steel foundry. It's very easy to clean and seals tightly. The zipper is much more durable than a traditional zipper, which is important in an environment full of sand and chemicals. It easily fits all my tools, my water bottle, coffee cup and lunch container. It's as stilish as the comparable Yeti at 1/3 the price

Nice!Bigger than expected in spite of smaller size
It’s a little bigger than anticipated, so will be a bit heavy when filled. I bought it for my daughter to take to volleyball tournaments, but she was still pleased. Well made & very nice, though! Love HydroFlask products!

Did not live up to expectations
The cooler itself is nice and well built, easy to carry and travel with. I gave it 4 stars but really would be 3.5 as the ice melts within the first 12 hours. The water that it creates does stay cold for a while longer but that is not what hey claim. Personally I would not buy it again.

Closure is difficult
I really dont like the closure, very difficult to open and close. The top doesnt open very well, hard to put things in.

Ice melts
Not sure if it’s normal but when I put ice in, it melts within 2 hours. So not keeping completely cold for long periods.

Great for car trips and cruising.
I purchased this cooler tote for cruising because it is leakproof. But I find myself using it on short car trips as well. It is well-built and sturdy and it is leakproof tested by me (I own a lot of cooler bags-so I know what I am talking about). Why do you need this bag on a cruise? I take my own special drinks on board and the fridges on cruise ships-even the higher end ships-do not cool on temp! That being said on international cruises this bag is a little bulky to throw into your suitcase for the flights (they charge $$$ for extra weight and bags). If you fly domestic this is usually not a problem-but round-trip to exotic locations is pricey. Also I have noticed-when we drive-more and more hotel rooms do not have fridges! No problem if you throw this into your car. We also take a hard-sided cooler on longer trips as well; but, its heavy so I just transfer my drinks and meds to this tote and carry it to our room. To be honest sometimes there is a fridge in the room but they don't always look or smell so nice-so I prefer to use this bag instead. Just remember to take a few waterproof freezer zip lock bags to use inside the tote.
