    Water wielding warrior.

When you're bikepacking through the wilderness, every ounce of weight and inch of space counts. Some gear doesn't have room for compromising when it comes to space — spare tubes, socks, and tools can't be skipped, and while water is the lifeblood of your ride, you can downsize your hydration with the Hydrapak Stash Collapisble Water Bottle. Unlike traditional water bottles that continue to take up space in your bags when empty, the Stash spins down and collapses into 1/4 the size it is full, maximizing your space until the next watering hole.

The Stash weighs in at only 3.3-oz, a fraction of the weight of most standard water bottles, and can be used to host both hot or cold drinks, so you can leave your titanium mug at home, and use this multi-purpose bottle for your morning java before you start riding. It's made from a durable TPU that holds up to use and abuse on the trail and despite its light weight, its welded seams can take abuse from the elements. Even when empty, it easily holds its shape open, making it completely compatible with backcountry water filters to keep your hydration clean.

    • Get the most out of your space with this collapsible bottle
    • Durable construction is BPA- and PVC-free with welded seams
    • Screw cap for easy hydration
    • Backcountry water filter compatible
    • Flexible carry handle
    • Clips closed for easy storage at 1/4 filled size
    • Can be frozen or filled with hot drinks

    Multi-pitch Hydration Solution

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I don't like wearing a pack while climbing. 1200' or less of climbing and I clip water to the harness instead of a camelbak. These have been great! Until it comes unclipped during a scramble approach and disappears in the cavernous bergschrund below. Then you have to order another one. Which I just did.

I also have an earlier version of the Stash, different cap. It was less robust and the cap cracked from consistently screwing it snug. This version seems much better.

    HydraPak Stash Bottle

When you’re going for your personal best, running out of water is not an option. Essential equipment for every adventurer, the 1 liter Stash is large enough to handle all-day hydration, expanding for use and crushing back down for maximum pack space. Compact, flexible and 50% lighter than a hard bottle. It’s construction with purpose.

Where has this been all my life?

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This bottle ROCKS! No longer am I having to pack bulky Nalgenes while backpacking, I can just stash a tiny and super light bottle like this and when the time comes where I need it, I have it. Way to go Hydrapak, you killed it with this bottle!

    My favorite for backpacking

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I love this thing! It's so sturdy and love being able to stow it away when it's empty. It's a bit of a pain to stuff in your bag when the bottle is full and your bag is also super full, but the hard rings at the top and bottom help with that. It took me a minute to figure out how to hold it so it didn't spill all over my face, but I got there haha and I got the Hydrapak Watergate Splash Guard to make drinking from the wide mouth easier. It's a fun bit of useful technology that I would definitely recommend for backpacking or travel where space matters!

    Compact and quiet!

I attend many live theater performances and find this little number to be extremely handy. I can tuck it in my bag then expanded and fill it at the water fountain and enjoy water in the theater without bulk, heaviness or noise. Genius!

      Great portable hydration option

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've enjoyed being able to toss this in a pack and expand it when needed. Easy to pop open and twist down to collapse. Saves vital space in a pack and is also lightweight.

      The Future!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The future is here! This bottle is really cool, convenient, and practical. Perfect little bottle or puck to toss in the backpack and to go on your day without a second thought about it. The only thing I am worried is about the material either the durability if it ever falls or if its easier for mold buildup if it isn't cleaned properly. But as of now it's been a blessing to have this with!

      Unanswered Question

How do you carry this on a bike? Will it fit and hold itself in a standard water bottle cage? TIA..
