Fusion 5 Galactik ElevenSTORM Road Tire - Tubeless

As one of the first tire brands to fully embrace road tubeless, Hutchinson once again ups the ante with its new ElevenSTORM compound and the Tubeless Fusion 5 Galactik ElevenSTORM Road Tire offers even greater mileage, less rolling resistance, better puncture resistance, lower weight, and enhanced grip so you'll be in total control whether that's descending a steep canyon road during a spring shower or hitting the last corner of a crit at full gas in July's triple digits. These are pretty lofty claims from Hutchinson, however, with its experience and access to technical materials, it instills our confidence that the ElevenStorm compound is the real deal and the first few rides have been very favorable.

Probably what impresses us the most with the ElevenSTORM compound is its ability to let us race and train on the same set of tires as they can handle the long training mileage and aren't fragile like most event specific rubber. Besides not having the burden of swapping out tires, it allows us to get used to the handling characteristics and adapt to its rolling resistance so power data on race day matches that during training. Anytime we can install something on our bikes that requires less energy to go faster and further without tradeoffs is a plus in our book.

This particular version of the Fusion 5 Galactik is designated as a road tubeless tire, further bolstering the ElevenSTORMS' compound by adding the benefits of more traction and comfort at lower pressures, as well as self-sealing reassurance when paired with sealant, should you run over small shards of glass or pesky goatheads. It's reinforced with a Lightskin nylon shield underneath the tread that helps prevent punctures and cuts for greater peace of mind on the open road.
