A beautiful hatchet that is well made and comes unbelievably sharp! It's functional enough for camping yet stylish enough to adorn a home.

Measurements- OAL - 9.5" Poll to Bit - 5 3/4" Edge - 2 3/4" Weight - 1.4lbs Weight w/ sheath - 1.6lbs As an ambassador for Hults Bruk I am a proud owner and user of this hatchet and have used it for over a year now. It has been with me ever since, thanks to its size, I can carry it in my day pack which is always in my Jeep. I have used it for everything from chopping and splitting to meal prep! Hatchets of this size are always awkward at first but once you get to know them they are incredibly useful. There is no question that this hatchet is a quality piece of gear, but you do need to take care of it. The polished edge can form rust relatively easy but if you take a second to dry it off before re-sheathing, and let your gear dry out after every outing you will not have any issues. If it does form rust, a scotchbrite or steel wool will take it right off. The edge retention is spectacular, I have only stropped mine since I have had it. The craftsmanship in the handle is about perfect. It was properly hung on the handle as well which is a huge deal, this will not come loose for a very long time. Even with a proper handle and hanging, you still need to oil the handle with boiled linseed oil at minimum once a year. A big bonus is the included leather sheath is thick quality leather and easy to use. By taking the Jonaker on outings you really are able to downsize some of your kit. As for cutting tools; on day trips and overnighters I now only carry the Jonaker and a small fixed blade knife. This covers everything I need to do in the woods and around the campsite.
