Once broken in, these are great slippers/slip-ons for around the house. I was looking for something to replace some Olukai slip-ons for winter, and these DO fit that bill. They run a little small, especially for "winter" slip-ons -- because you're probably going to wear them with some socks. As for break-in, the collapsing heel will feel a little more bulky than you'd like for the first few days. The sides will eventually stretch a little, and the elastic that makes up the collapsing heel will lay flatter. Overall, a great shoe, just be prepared that they aren't "out of the box" comfy -- that'll take 5-6 wearings.
