Best grip wven on loose sand
I have never found a shoe that i dont slip if while decending from mt calavara, until now!! I LOVE THESE SHOES! Super light, breathable, great ankle support and amazing grip!! The Vibram sole REALLY makes a difference!!! I was hiking down a steep inclune today and i usually slip im some spots with my other hiking boots but today with these Hoka shoes om I didnt slip once!! Super happy about it! I bought a half size up from my size to minimize the chance of toe bang, and im happy that i did. Its a good amount of room and i see myself wearing these during winter with thicker socks too.

Excelled in Three Days Hiking in the Rockies Backcountry
I did what you are not supposed to do, and took these hiking boots on a three day backcountry wilderness trip without ever breaking them in. They worked perfectly! The boots are super comfortable, and have a good balance of flex and support. The grip worked well over rock scramble, and even did OK on the snow patches. I took a size 9.5, as I do in all running shoes, vs my everyday shoe size 9. Great hiking downhill. Easy to lace & get on and off. No blisters. Super impressed.

Hoka on my feet 12,000 miles and counting
I've been wearing Hoka since I discovered the brand. 12,000 miles on the mountains and a lifetime to go. I don't wear any other hiking shoes, Hoka is the only brand that keeps my feet in perfect shape no blisters, no falls, no problems hiking the trails. I love introducing all my friends to the brand. If you suffer from feet issues Hoka is definitely the shoe to wear. If you're in the medical field I encourage you to also get some Hoka in your life. Hoka shoes are for everyone. I love my Hoka hiking boots. I buy a pair every 250-300 miles.

Too narrow
I'm rescinding my previous review that I can't find. These shoes are horrendous on my feet. I wanted to love them. I thought they had stretched out enough for my bunions but they did not. I tried to go for a walk on them and had to turn around and come back home when my toes went numb and my legs started getting shooting pains up the sides. Never felt that before and don't ever want to feel that pain again. That was 24 hours ago and my feet and legs are STILL hurting. It's a shame too because I love hoka but I don't understand why they can't offer decent hiking boots that are waterproof or at the very least water resistant in pretty colors. But they don't, they offer 3 colors: dookie brown, dookie brown with a hint of purple or solid black but they're sold out of the solid black. Which who wants to wear those colors anyway?! I do not recommend these shoes and it makes me sad too.

Great Hiking Boot!
I bought these last minute for a hiking trip in Canada and was nervous about not having the opportunity to break them in before leaving. This was not a problem as they fit perfectly and were so comfortable right out of the box. I love all my other Hokas as well and will continue to be a loyal customer for years to come.

Lifesavers!
I have a really bad ankle, which needs to be replaced. These shoes keep my ankle from turning. I can now resume my daily walking.

I would buy another pair
Just got these because I am preparing for a hiking trip. Tried them on and didn't want to take them off. I have a bone spur and with these babies I can't feel it. Walking is a breeze. It is well made. stylish and most of all the fit was comfortable.

Hoka doesn't sell a wide-enough waterproof shoe
Hoka suggested I try a men's shoe since the woman's waterproof shoes do not come in wide. I tried 8.5 men's shoe and still too narrow. The Bondis with the extra room in toe box are what my bunions need. Alas they don't make a waterproof shoe with the extra toe room.
