2nd Chance

Trail Code GTX- After my ankle surgery and toe box on the Accuna just didn't work for me. So, I ordered the Trail Code GTX and some adjustment things are going good. Wearing them daily. Better fit.

Really liked these

Bought these in advance of a 3-day backpacking trip in the Sierras. Did not break them in in advance, they felt great and worked well, with good traction and support. Would recommend.

Don't buy

Very comfortable shoe. If you are going to use it for everyday use then yes buy it. But for hiking do not they will fall apart. I had them for 3 weeks went on like 2 hikes and after that the sole was ripping off from the shoe. It's shameful that it is labeled a hiking shoe but the quality and durability was awful.

Easy return process

It looks like this review won't allow me to post a Pic, but they arrived with noticeable creases in the toe area. I wore them 1 time and the creases got worse. I notified Hoka and their return and refund went very smooth.

They seem ok, so far.......

These weren't available in my normal size so I got a half-size larger, and they still feel pretty tight, but I'm going to keep them and try them on some hikes... Overall the shoe feels pretty good, except for the top lace hook on the inside of the right boot seems to be creating a pressure point on my right ankle bone, I'm trying to make sure everything is adjusted when I laced it up and hopefully it will get better, or maybe I'll try adding some extra padding... Because of the Hoka design these shoes seem really big, I feel like I'm walking around in clown shoes, the Hoka's are at least 1.5 inches longer than other hiking boots of the same size..

Awesome Boot!

The title says it all. You get a boot that is ultra light like a running shoe, but built durable enough to do boot things. The quality and construction is top tier. The best in the industry. The fit and comfort is top tier. Supportive and sure footed, while being ultra plush. With HOKAs, I buy a size a 12.5, when I wear a 13 in other brands as HOKAs fit a little bigger than other shoes/boots.

I wear these 5 days a week for work

So far these feel just like my other hoka boots. I wear boots everyday for electric line work. Durability and comfort is the most important thing! I've had the Kaha GTX 1 and 2's and the Stinson GTX. THE STINSON WERE THE BEST SHOE! Apparently hoka doesn't make them anymore! Hopefully these boots will be as durable as the Stinsons

So Far So Good

I've only owned by pair for 2 weeks. I got used to them indoors, they felt great, so I took them on a 3.5 hike with steep grade at top. I love them: light and sturdy - a great combination. To really protect my ankle, I wore a lace-up flexible brace that fit well into the shoe. I will return with a review in a year to report on versatility and longevity.

Five stars !!

I bought this for my trip to Yosemite. No need to break in felt comfortable like a running shoe and provided the same support just like a high top hiking boot. Lightweight and comfortable, would recommend!
