Used to HOKA but this model Changed my step
I really wanted to like the Hoka Skyward X, but after nearly 70 km, I haven't been able to run comfortably in these shoes. They significantly altered my stride, and I started experiencing pain on the left side of my hip. Despite their good cushioning, the change in my running mechanics has been a major drawback. If you're considering these shoes, be mindful of how they might impact your stride and overall comfort.

I love your shoes
My feet hurt for months, and my girlfriend recommended Hokas to me so I bought a pair last year and my feet feel amazing. I do a lot of walking for my job as a K-8 custodian in a larger school, and I have since bought 2 more pairs to switch between. I also loved your limited edition sunglasses, they were perfect, I recently lost mine camping, but would love another pair. Please make more.

Love most skywards
I love the shoe. I have 3 pair of them. However, my first pair bottom rubber cut up within 30 days. I attempted to return them to Chicago mag Mile store but they were closed for renovations. I hope Hoka will replace them or credit my account. I have more than 20 pair of Hokas..they are all great shoes.

Love these shoes
In May 2024 I started a couch to half marathon training program and about halfway through I bought the Skyward X shoes and I absolutely love them. I have bad knees and a bad back to begin with so I have to be mindful of how I run and these shoes are a game changer. I can now relax a little when running because of the cushioning in the shoes and I feel nothing on my back or knees.

Like walking on marshmallows. Super plush. But.......
It's like walking on marshmallows. So wonderfully soft. You can feel the suspension working. The only drawback is, if you have stability issues this shoe is not for you. Since the soul and suspension make the shoes so thick the height destabilizes the shoe somewhat. An ankle roll is much more likely with this shoe when walking over on level services. That being said, if you have plantar fasciitis and no problems with balance this shoe is for you. Great for walking on the treadmill too! Just remember, your trading some stability for super soft cushy shoes.

Surprisingly Versatile, Very Responsive and Fun
After a very positive experience with the Cielo X1, I got intrigued by the Skyward X although I was not at all into the first colorway in white, red, and blue. Yes, performance and how a shoe feels and rides are the most important factors when getting a running shoe, but the look of a shoe does matter. When the cosmic grey with all-white midsole colorway became available, I decided to give the Skyward X a shot even though I was put off by the listed weight. I thought it'd be a good easy/recovery kind of shoe but, man, was I wrong. This is a very versatile, peppy, propulsive, and fun running shoe that is, as expected, very protective and comfortable for daily miles or for long runs. I've been very pleasantly surprised and the shoe just feels better and better as I get deeper and longer into the runs. I've got 30-some miles on the Skyward X now and it looks like it will easily go another 400, probably up to 600. It's built like a tank and the outsole is about as robust as you need it. I'll have to see how the PEBA midsole holds up but it feels very resilient and sturdy. It's firmer than I expected but in a pleasant way as it feels more responsive and peppier for faster paced runs. I'm a light guy (5-7 or 167cm and 125lbs or 57kg), so I'm sure that has something to do with it feeling firmer but I can say that light runners like me will benefit from this shoe just as well as heavier runners do. Surprise shoe of the year for me and loads of fun.

HOKA Skyward X
I'm not a runner or even much of an athlete! I'm a 60 year old male with bad arthritis in my feet. I've tried everything to alleviate the pain, to no avail. My last pair of shoes were the HOKA Bondi 8. At that point they had come the closest to meeting my needs. But, after awhile, even they failed me. When the Bondi 8's finally wore out, I decided to spend a little more money and get the Skyward X's. WOW!!! What a difference! It's like walking on a cloud! I've never had a pair of sneakers this comfortable, and I would highly recommend them to both athletes and fellow old guys with arthritis!

Yes
Excellent shoe. Most comfortable Hoka ever worn. BUT. The mesh on top if shoe developed a hole, not even two weeks after usage.
