    Bummer

Not impressed with this Hoka running shoe. Not only does it run small but the foot bed and arch are narrow as well. It also feels cheaply made. The quality just isn’t there. I’ve had Hoka’s in the past and this model does not stand up. Returning them unfortunately.

Quality shoe but not for me.

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

To start, I only tried these shoes on about 2 runs before I decided they were not for me. I think Hoka's are definitely a style that takes a bit of time to get used to. They are solid shoes that I have heard great things about, just not for me. First, I think I got a size too small. I got a 6.5 and should have got a 7, my typical shoe size. The tighter fit felt great at first but then made running a bit painful. I brought these on an easy trail run and could only make it about 2ish miles. I am someone who likes to feel the ground more than not, but I wanted to check these out because of the sweet reviews. Try these out for yourself!

4.7 miles on the first use

Just getting into running for the summer, and ran a relay race with coworkers last weekend. With only picking up running 1 full week prior, I was admittedly a little apprehensive to run 4.7 miles. With the inaugural use of these shoes, however, the whole run I felt like I was on a cloud! It almost feels like there's
I've tried running in the older HOKAs and honestly didn't like them at all, but this new version isn't clunky or cumbersome, and has a lifting sensation on your feet when you run.

      Favorite pair of Hokas yet

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I am loving these new speedgoats! They offer the same cushion and support as past Hokas I've worn, but feel way less clunky and actually look like normal shoes! I used to dread wearing my old Hokas because they looked ridiculous, but these look like any normal pair of running shoes. Highly recommend! Great on trail and pavement.

      No Break-in time necessary!

I needed a pair of running shoes last minute for this big race I was doing. I haven't ran in forever and immediately felt comfortable in these shoes. The grip on these are INSANE. It was a rainy and muddy day on the trails and pavement that I figured I'd slip once or twice, but these shoes guaranteed my safety. These were a solid choice and definitely has me steering away from other brands from here on. I'm so glad I gave HOKA a try.

I decided I'd take a photo with my teammate who were wearing the same shoes!

        Note: I usually wear a 7.5, but went with a 7.

        Running on a cloud!

        • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I'm just getting back into running after breaking my leg two years ago. I'm slowly getting my legs back in running shape by sticking to dirt trails and these shoes felt amazing. The cushion helped with the impact of running, and they fit my wider toe box very nicely.

I wore them more most of the day after my run and the shape of the bottom definitely give you a spring in your step. Something else I loved is that I didn't have to tighten them down a crazy amount for my heel to not slip out of them. The tongue of the shoe and the rest of the body really cradled my foot perfectly. LOVE THESE RUNNING SHOES!

        Super comfy for running

I just got these Hokas, and they are really fun to run in ! I love Hoka One-One, I have a pair of hiking boots from them too. Sizing was consistent, and the fit was just perfect for my semi-wide feet. Initial impressions are that they are great for urban running, and I could see myself using them in the summer on trails. Very supportive, and that extra cushion really feels great after a few miles!
