Why We Like The Speedgoat Mid 2 GTX Trail Run Shoe

With reliable waterproofing, this trail shoe is a trusted friend to backpackers, trail runners, and anyone else who needs to move quickly over rugged terrain with dry protection. In rainy weather, the GORE-TEX bootie keeps our feet dry and happy through the storm, while the Vibram MegaGrip outsole delivers grip and traction on even the wettest trails. The molded mid-height collar supports our ankles but still provides enough flex and comfort to help US move the way WE need to when we're trying to cover ground fast.

Sole detaches

i bought this shoe because seems to be comfortable, and it does, but the soles are crap, i only used them for a 15 mile trail running, and the soles on both shoes detached, it was the last layer on the sole that does the grip separated from the cushion sole, bad purchase :(

On my 3rd pair

Love them, barely wear anything else. No more pain in my feet since I got these. Big thanks to the team that designs builds and makes these possible!

Perfect mid rise boot for trail running

I bought my first pair in August 2022 and trail run 3+ miles almost every day in them. Most of my training is in a 25lb plate carrier and the Vibram soles make it light work on my old creaky knees. Only complaint is they lost the waterproofing around 5 months in. Still the best trail boot I've found and I will buy again.

Awesome boots!

Recently discovered the Hoka brand and my wife and I both bought Hoka Mach5's. However, I spend the vast majority of my time in duty boots or hiking boots. A friend enlightened me to the fact that Hoka also made boots. I couldn't find them anywhere until I went directly to Hoka's website. I ordered both a psi of SpeedGoats and a pair of Kahas. Easily the best boot I've ever worn, and I have extensive history and brand loyalty to Merrill. Until now. Thank you Hoka!

Would not recommend due to lacing design

Bought these as approach and camp shoes. Here is what the testers should have reported. Get at least a half size up if wearing regular socks, a full size with hiking socks. The lacing system is a total failure. Putting on these shoes requires a shoe horn, a two handed wrestling match, or unlacing. The GoreTex works great . Feet stayed dry in slushy snow.

Size is smaller than previous Hoka's shors

Have several other Hoka's shoes in size 11. I want to like these but they fit I bit on the tight side.

Best Shoe Yet!

I use his shoe for extended walks. It's exceptionally comfortable and very supportive of my feet and ankles! So, I bought this pair for my Dad who gives it 5 ⭐️ too!

YES

I WISH I HAD KNOWN WITH GORE TEX SHOES YOU HAVE TO SIZE UP 1/2" (NO MENTION OF THIS ON WEBSITE). WHEN I CONTACTED CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR MY OLD ONES (THEY WERE STILL NEW, NEVER WORN). THEY DIDN'T WANT TO KNOW ME. THE 11'S WERE TOO SMALL. MY NEW ONES AND THEY'RE GREAT.
