True to its name, the HOKA ONE ONE Speedgoat 3 Waterproof Trail Running Shoe doesn't slow us down at all in wet weather. With a waterpoof SkyShell bootie, it keeps our feet dry and comfortable as we slog through puddles and mud, while the Vibram Megagrip outsole delivers trusted traction on everything from slick rock to soft and slippery trail surfaces. Thanks to the outsole's sticky construction and widely spaced lugs, it charges through any terrain with ease, while a max-cushioned midsole helps go the distance with plush comfort. New to this version is a more durable upper construction, which features a TPU toecap and midfoot overlays that resist abrasion from rocks and brush, but don't sacrifice anything in terms of flexibility or comfort. The platform has also been widened to increase stability on technical trails, and the gusseted tongue fits snugly around our feet while keeping out trail debris.

Not what I was hoping for.
I had a pair of Hoka slides that made my aching feet happy so I thought I should pair try a pair of shoes to see if they would do the same. They did not. They don't have the arch support that the slides have, and the tongues dig into my ankles.

Shoes tongue scraped upper feet
Shoes tongues are sharp. No cushion at all. They scraped my feet.

Great winter trail shoe
I don't need traction on packed powder with these & my socks don't get soaked. Obviously, they aren't completely waterproof when I'm running in deeper snow. Moisture can get into the laces where my gaiters don't seal over them, so wish they had a grommet in front of the laces, like some of my other shoes do, where I can hook my gaiters.

Not bad
I love Hoka. And love a sale. So, I bought the speedgoats since I had the old ones and loved them so much. They only thing I don't like is they changed the tongue in the shoe and it's not as comfortable. It's not padded and comes up way too high. It was rubbing my ankle so I cut it down some (the material was ok to cut and not mess up). Now they are great. Still the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn.

Loved the shoe but not the unknown object that rubbed
Loved these shoes and they were comfortable however there was some internal bulge, twisted lace or eyelet that kept rubbing on my ankle. I tried re- lacing and even padding the area where it rubbed. Since it was only on 1 shoe I figured it was a defect in manufacturing and had to send them back.
