Uppers wear out too fast

These are the most comfortable hiking boots I have ever worn, but the uppers have worn out (ie, torn around the toe guards) within the first or second year on the last two pairs I purchased. At these prices, I cannot afford to replace them every year or two; Hoka needs to replace the material used on the uppers with something that will last longer.

These are a fantastic pair of boots. I tried the first generation Tor Ultra, but didn't like them at the time. Since then Hoka has come out with other boots, and these were worth the try. I found them very supportive, good grip on the trail, and very stable. Liked them enough that I sold my trusty Salomon Cosmic 4D hikers, which have served me well for years.
