These shoes r great! They have a little extra room in the toe area. But a thick pair of socks solve that problem. I particularly like the feel of the wrap around ankle velcro strap. Feels like the shoe is just part of ur foot. Feels light and sturdy. Yet also give u the feeling u have some stomping boots on! I don't have any areas of concern in the feel. No rubbing. I have the reflective black version. Very cool!

Loved the feel of these. Super light super comfy on the soles. However, after wearing around my house for a few hours I could tell the ankle design just wasn't going to work for me. The elastic was a little too tight and felt like it may chafe over long hikes. Had to send them back.

Great hiking shoes!

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

These are probably one of the most comfortable hiking shoes for long hikes I have tried. The cushion on the bottom of the shoe is so thick it seriously feels like you are walking on clouds! So after long hikes, the bottom of your feet won't get super sore. One downside I found was that they don't have great traction for anything other than dirt and rocks, I hiked in them on a trail with some ice and snow in some places and I found they weren't great for those conditions. Also!! Hokas run big, I am usually an 8.5 and sometimes a 9, and in these, I wore an 8 and they were still a little big on me.

Like walkin on clouds

I took these beauties out on a 16 mile hike to the top of Ben Lomond and had such a great time walking in these. My feet could barely feel the ground beneath. The traction on the bottom made me feel like the shoes just pushed me up the mountain without issues! Happy Feet Happy Life.

I tried!

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Really really wanted these to work. Not only do they look awesome, but when I initially put them on I felt like I was walking on the moon. Super light, but super supported. I did about a six mile hike in these and I was only able to do about half that in these shoes before switching. The ankle support rubbed wrong and also started to feel too restricting.

Sweet and Comfy

I absolutely loved these hiking shoes, I recently took them on a trip to Bryce Canyon and they were perfect. They felt like I was wearing socks basically, they were so comfy. I love how customizable they are! I need a wide toe box but lots of ankle support and they did just that, without a lot of pressure on my ankles and weren't too loose.

Versatile hiker

Loved these boots for exploring the desert. Super grippy on slick-rock and did a great job at keeping out water through shallow streams. Comfortable and breathable for warmer weather.

Good, but not great

I was so excited to try these boots out. My aunt raves about Hoka shoes and only backpacks in them now, so I wanted to see what the hype was about. I bought them in my normal shoe size, 8, and the fit of the foot was great! They seemed light, comfortable and stable, all the things I look for in a hiking boot. But then I did up the ankle support and I couldn't get it to feel like it wasn't cutting into me. It was extremely uncomfortable, so I knew I had to return them.

Amazingly comfortable

Familiarity:

These are seriously great. I got them for a canyoneering trip that had a decent amount of elevation gain at the beginning. They were comfortable and the higher top offered good support for my ankle. I don't often hike in boots unless I'm backpacking, but I had a good amount of canyoneering gear I was bringing and wanted support when wading through water when I couldn't see the bottom. They were really lightweight and the traction was great. I did feel like they may run a tad big so if you are between sizes, I would consider sizing down.
