    Cushion is king.

Tuck your feet into the highly cushioned Hoka One One Men's Conquest 3 Running Shoes to keep them feeling good when you're on mile three of seven. The Early-Stage Meta-Rocker midsoles propel you forward to keep you going even when you want to stop, and RMAT provides maximum stability, rebound, and cushion thanks to the EVA top-layer. First set of Hokas...love them!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 11

This is my first set of Hoka One One shoes. I bought them from Backcountry without every trying on a pair. Previously I was wearing Saucony Omni 13/14s. I wanted to up my running a little and felt like a change. I also wanted something to provide a bit more cushioning (the Omni's are great shoes but not as plush). I overpronate so tend to buy stability shoes and put Superfeet Orange insoles in them.

My first impression of the shoes was "Wow, these sure look cheaply made." The material used on the upper looks like an imprint of a nice shoe, not a nice shoe itself. And, like a lot of people note about Hokas - they kind of look like an orthotic shoe because of the size of the foot beds.

Once I put the shoe on I stopped caring what they looked like. They felt so great! My first run I expected some kind of adjustment was needed, but no - they were super light while providing an amazing amount of cushion. But they don't feel huge or blocky (like I feared). They definitely isolate your feet from the road so if you like road feedback look elsewhere.

I have 60+ miles on the shoes now and they feel as good as day one. Best part is I no longer need to put the Superfeet in my shoes - saving me money. There is some weird wear on the outside of the upper, but seems to be cosmetic so far. Barring any catastrophic failure of the shoes I plan to stick with Hoka Conquest!
