Great for knees, but not wide feet
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- 7.5
- Height:

Sore knees led me to try a more heavily cushioned running shoe. These are like running on pillows, and surprisingly light. However, I feel hot spots at the widest part of my feet, on the insoles. The Hoka insoles are very cushiony, so they will probably improve as they mold to my feet. I used my Superfeet insoles for a few runs and that resolved the issue with the hot spots, but my heels were not as secure in the shoe. I?m going to go back to the Hoka insoles and give them some time.

Lightweight, cushioned runner

This is my first pair of Hokas - I was initially hesitant to buy a ultra cushioned / thick foam soled running shoe, but I'm pleasantly surprised. This is lightweight yet supportive and has been great for longer runs. For context, I've been wearing Mizuno Wave Riders for 10+ years, but wanted a more cushioned / supportive option (size 8 in Mizuno + 7.5 in Hokas)
