Great boot, laces too short
I am a fan of Hoka hiking boots, wear them almost nonstop to avoid foot, hip and back issues. This is my third pair of boots, umpteenth pair of shoes. No problems - except for the too-short laces on these. There's barely enough to tie them, much less double-knot them, and they don't stay tied unless double-knotted. At this price seems like Hoka could provide another 6" of laces.

Freakishly long

These boots were so long they should have been equipped with outriggers. While the portion of the boot that held my foot was already too long, the sole extending from the heel of the boot was a recipe for disaster. I can't imagine having to continually compensate for that while navigating over rocks, tree roots, etc. on the trail. I tried them out on a staircase in my house, and the heel caught just going downstairs. Yikes! This was the first product I've ever had to return to Backcountry. The return process was fast and simple, and my card was credited in just a few days. Kudos to Backcountry.

Definitely would buy again!
I am very pleased that I didn't have to break in the boots and were comfortable since the first time putting them on. Also, I love the stylish color and the fact they feel like a tennis shoe but have the functionality of a hiking boot. Now, I look forward to going hiking any chance I get.

Great Hiking Boots
I have an upcoming hiking trip so I wanted to invest in a pair of good hiking boots. Hoka sneakers are awesome so I figured I would get the hiking boots. Tested them out this past weekend walking around the neighborhood and they felt great!. I hope to feel the same way during and after my hike.

Issues
Purchased these shoes to assist with plantar fasciitis; however the material has been rubbing against the left front ankle causing pain. I thought after breaking them in; the pain would be alleviated, that has not been the case. Planning on returning the product as soon as I get a day off.

Nice boots for hiking
I plan to wear these for a study abroad program in Iceland this summer. They are very comfortable. They feel a little big and wide, but I do not know if I would advise sizing down. I will wear thick socks so they will fit just fine.

LOVE them
Love everything about these. Great style, comfort, and arch/ankle support. Hoka, I would love a pair of these same shoes but as waterproof.

Hurt my feet
I really liked the style of these, so I decided to give them a chance. I took them on a long hike in the Grand Canyon. Walking in them was pretty comfortable for a while, but then they started rubbing my feet. When we arrived, I had huge blisters on the backside of my toes on both feet, blisters on the inner side of my feet, and blisters around my ankles. I've had a pair of cheap Columbias before these and didn't have that problem. Generally, they felt too narrow and constricting around my ankle. The pluses: definitely waterproof, lightweight, seem durable, very nice style, and good traction.

Beautifully made, comfy, but...
I love the way the shoe fits but after 45 minutes my feet fall asleep... meaning they are restricting blood flow. I wonder why.
