At the end of a long week, we lace up the Bondi X to take our thoughts for a run. Rigged out with max cush, this shoe forgives our first heavy steps as we find our stride. The extended rocker and springy carbon-fiber plate roll us into effortlessly swift transitions, never jolting us from the runners' high bliss we flow into after mile 3, while the re-equipped upper keeps a cool breeze on our toes as it fends off overgrown verge and a pup's discarded stick.

Great but Breaking Down Quickly
Love the shoes however the sides of the shoes are breaking down quickly. I keep finding white flakes on the ground.

Will be my go-to.
I would buy this one again - and I will. I start every morning with a hike/run of 6 miles or more and the cushioning on this shoe is great. The fit is great. I have a really high arch and prone to plantar fasciitis and this shoe seems to offer great support and protection.

The Best Shoes in My Closet Are HOKAS
I've been wearing Tennis Shoes, although I don't play tennis and never have; so let's say I've been wearing sneakers, gym shoes, or athletic shoes since I was old enough to get my older brother's 'hand-me-down' Chuck Taylor's Converse basketball shoes back in the 60s. Hoping to reduce some minor foot pain that seems to have come from nowhere, I did some online research and decided to try a pair of HOKAs. I bought 4 pair-I'm like that-, thinking one pair of the four would stand out as my 'go-to' shoe for the foreseeable future, and I would gift the other three pair to my grandsons. But none stood out. Each pair is a major improvement over all other shoes-not just sporting shoes-in my closet. Hands down, HOKAs are the best shoes I own. They're well designed, well crafted, light weight, and-above all-HOKAs are ridiculously comfortable all day long. I'm going to Montana next month for a week of hiking, exploring, and etc.. The only shoes making the trip with me are HOKAs. Keep up the good work, keep creating new styles, and by all means keep offering all manner of colors. -EAS

Need to break them in
My first few runs with the Bondi X were just awkward: the shoe felt too big, the foam was unresponsive, and they were strangely tight where you lace them up. After running 10 times in them, I like them much better now. The foam acquired a wonderful softness without being squishy. It's just good for your feet and your joints. I have a few Hoka pairs, and like them all. This is becoming one of my favorite pair.

I don't know what Hokas manufacturing team is doing
I bought these shoes when these first came out. I put only 70 miles on them before making this review. I thought the toe box would give after a month but they do not at all. In the end, my toes felt jammed (which never happened on older models of Hokas) and cause both my archs to feel pain and discomfort.

No I won't be purchasing this particular shoe againg
I'm a hard striker. I use the product for every day short run. Mid shoe cushion and the heel cushion is very comfortable. Not enough cushion for the ball of the foot and forward. I will stay with the Bondi 8 as it provides the spring back and great cushion throughout the whole shoe.

It's alright
Not as comfortable as I thought it would be. I like the design, but I think my old Clifton was lot more comfortable.
