Power Heater Mitten

It's hard to hold on to your poles when your hands are frozen, but the Hestra Power Heater Mitten has a hot-'n'-toasty trick up its sleeve—integrated heat loops, which wrap around your hand to provide battery-powered warmth on the coldest ski days. There are three heat settings, controllable via the built-in control panel, along with replaceable and rechargeable batteries that make it easy to keep the heat on full blast for your whole trip. An included international adapter means you can charge your gloves wherever you're skiing, whether you're in Japan, Europe, or North America.

The Power Heater is still a Hestra, too, so it has all the construction and durability you'd expect. The shell is made from tough and supple Flextron nylon, with an impregnated cowhide palm and brushed polyester lining. The integrated CZone waterproof membrane keeps your hands from getting soggy and the Power Heater's electronics from shorting out. There's synthetic insulation as well, which keeps the heat from escaping, so your batteries last longer, and your mittens still work even if you forget to charge them up overnight.

Hestra Does Not Stand Behind Electronics

Familiarity:
I've used it several times
Height:

I would never recommend purchasing Hestra Heated Gloves, they do not stand behind the electrical component of these gloves. I ski about 12 times per a season. I am a female, preferring easier ski conditions. My gloves reached operational failure on my approximate 24th time of usage. This was an expensive purchase for me, so I took all proper care and storage precautions, to ensure longevity of life. When I approached Hestra about product failure, I was advised to purchase another pair of gloves. This is an expensive investment, with a company that doesn’t stand behind their products (or at least the electrical components). When they are working, they are great. The life expectancy is low and Hestra expects you to replace $400 gloves every two years.

Hestra Power Electric Men's Mitts

Familiarity:
I've used it several times
Size Bought:
7

5' 7"

I just bought mine on sale in Breckenridge, CO. It was really cold Pres. Week and I had to use the chemical hot pads to keep my hands warm. My wife has OR electric mitts. So, I thought I'd give these a try. Cost day was high of about 10F. The gloves worked well until lunch when I took my hands out to eat. After lunch even though I moved the setting up to level two they never seemed to keep my hands warm. Next day at Keystone, it was slightly colder. My hands were slightly cold all day. These are my only two experiences. Love the charging system. Love the switch system, a bit hard to put on as the cuff it tight. Might be better if it had a larger cuff. Leather is soft. Easy to hold a ski poles. My wife's OR gloves have switch problems and are not really warm either. I must have six pair of ski gloves. It all depends on the temps and the activity level. To bad you can't try and return but with Covid it's all a crap shoot. I give the Hestra a 5 out of 10 just need more time and conditions to determine if I like them.
