Lightweight Pro Gloves
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
These are great lightweight alpine gloves. Excellent craftsmanship that you'd expect from Hestra. Love the ergo glove design and the goat leather palm. Feel and look great. These are perfect for cooler temperature alpine pursuits. Like other reviewers noted these are not for the super cold days in the mountain because of the lightweight design. Comes with handcuffs which were a nice surprise and a great feature. Excellent deal at the end of season price. Backcountry shipped it super quickly with 2 day free shipping. Ordered on Wednesday and these were on my doorstep by Friday at noon. Happy with the purchase #goatworthy
Hestra Jon Olsson Pro Model
Ordered the Olsson Pro at the same time I ordered the Vertical Cut Freeride model. Both are a a great fit, awesome materials, and super craftsmanship. Of the two, I really like the Olsson model, but it is a true race glove - and as a result it is not nearly as welll insulated (=WARM) as the Vertical Cut Freeride. Since I only want a single pair dedicated for the season, I will be returning these, but keeping the VCFs.
Poor levels of insulation
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I've used these gloves in spring during the end of a ski season. They feel good and look good, but the level of insulation is very poor even for warmer spring ski days. Don't waste your money. Seriously disappointed with Hestra.
These gloves are great! Hestra never disappoints! The best part is they have my name on them! "JON".
