Best toddler glove made!

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

We have 3 kids and we have been through so many gloves. This water proof mitten zips open to easily put on and then sips up past the wrist. Then has velcro strap to hold the glove. The gloves never come off if put on correctly. They are warm as expected. We have used for 2 years and no complaints

Worth the Price

There are less expensive toddler mittens out there, but these are worth paying a little extra. Can't put a price on getting your little one's thumbs in the thumb hole first try! Of course the quality is also what you'd expect from Hestra.

Zipper Rescue

Familiarity:
I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I just got these for my little niece. She's only 1.5 yrs old so they are a bit big on her, but hey they'll grow into it. That being said, the zippered entry really is the best part of this mitt. Nothing is more difficult than a kid who can't seem to get their hand into a glove or mitt, this totally bypasses that. Hestra has been building gloves for decades and really has it figured out. Fit, warmth, and quality are their best attributes as a company and these mitts are no exception to that.

Look No More- These Are The Ones!

I cannot say enough about these mittens. These will be the only mittens we buy for our son. He is 3 and it is so easy to put these mittens on. They have a long zipper that takes the guesswork out of getting these on- hand slides in and you can see exactly where the thumb needs to go. Everybody’s happy! They extend over the cuff of your child’s coat, keeping them warm and dry. They also have a strap that wraps around their wrist and keeps them from slipping off. They keep our son’s hands toasty warm and he loves them! So do we!!

Hestra Quality, In a Small Size

Hestra's Baby Zip Long Mitten has been my little girl's daily mitten for skiing and it's gone great so far. The outer material while not completely bombproof is still waterproof enough to withstand the elements for a day and then some. The warmth is on point as well as she hasn't been cold yet and has skied in almost all temperature variants (still need to test the deep cold). Only thing I feel like is missing is a wrist leash as kids like mine tend to whip her glove off of her hand at a moment's notice.

Our First Hestra won't be our Last!!!!!

Fit:
Runs small

First of all I want to say I actually called into their Oregon call center yesterday afternoon and spoke with a lovely girl named Maia, whom was superior! She not only new her stuff but placed my order but to my surprise my 2 1/2 years old sons gloves came today!!! Perfect timing our first snow was literally falling! Now let's get to the quality of this glove number 1, it's Toddler approved my son literally just slid his hand into place and we zipped him in. Their lightweight so they don't weigh your little ones hands down they can actually move and play in them for hours! And when time to come in I took off the gloves and Hestra passed the dry but not only was his hands dry but nice and warm! So pleased with both backcountry and this product we will definitely buy again in the near future. They are on the pricey side for what I would normally spend for a 2 1/2 year old toddler however I got a size up and he will get another winter out of them and honestly they are well worth the $, when you think of buying several pairs of useless winter accessories that not only fail but come apart it's really the smart choice. Pleased customer Thanks Back Country you impressed a first but won't be our last customer!!! Happy winter!!

Toddler Hestra!

I got these for my nephew for outdoor adventures and they work well! They keep his hands nice a cozy, and don't fall off easily (therefore not lost easily :) ).

Favorite Toddler glove

After finding this glove, we have bought nothing else for our kids. They use them for skiing and playing in the snow. The long side zipper makes it incredibly easy to put on little hands and make sure that thumb gets in the right spot! There is also a strap around the wrist that keeps the glove nice and tight and in place.

We first bought these mittens on a whim for my two littles after realizing we'd forgotten to pack theirs for a family ski trip. I LOVE LOVE these mittens. Super easy to get on do to the long side zip. They kept all the little fingers toasty and dry through the endless snow play and many ski days. The wrist strap is also a great feature helping keep the mittens in place. Ever so slightly grown out of them this year I am back to buy both children another pair and am glad to see them available on backcountry. So far, for us, nothing has come close in comparison to these. Highly recommended.

I'm curios what size you got, my daughter is 4 1/2 her hand measurement is about 5" I was thinking size 3?

the best

There isn't another mitten for toddlers that compares. The best part is how it's easier than any other mitten to get on with the long side zip so you can wiggle those little hands and thumbs quickly and easily into the right spots. The rest of the features (wrist strap, material used, flexibility etc) make it perfect. The price is high, but other toddler mittens are a waste of money compared to this. I'm hoping it fits for a few years.
