A glove that's as warm as a mitten.
Keeping your fingers warm on a chilly chairlift can feel as impossible as stopping the sun from rising, but Hestra's Alpine Leather Primaloft Women's Glove has the potential to save your digits. A luxuriously warm glove filled with Primaloft insulation and lined with seriously soft brushed polyester, it provides mitten-caliber warmth with excellent dexterity, so you can grip your poles and pull your zippers without feeling like you need to take your gloves off first. The glove's cowhide leather has been impregnated with water-resistant wax, so moisture won't soak in and make your hands even colder, and the knit cuff has a hook-and-loop closure to ensure that snow doesn't sneak in and melt.

- Q & A
Stylish but my fingers are frozen!
I bought the white ones. First, I got them a snug fit from a recommendation. According to a blog I read leather would loosen and be more comfortable. Better to have a snug fit, they say. Iâve worn these four times since Iâve bought them and theyâre still pretty dang snug! Also, my fingers get sooo cold. Iâve worn them at whistler where it was 25 degrees at the top and My hands were uncomfortably freezing. I tried to use liners inside, which helped, but the gloves were so snug that it was difficult putting them on with the liner. The glove got dirty quickly which was expected since itâs the white colour, but even when I attempted to clean it with a leather cleaner it didnât work well. Lastly, a leash doesnât come with these - a bit disappointing. I bought the leash separately and attached it to the tags inside the glove. The right tag ripped off after the 4th use so I poked a hole in the leather instead. I wanted so badly to love these as they were so cute and stylish, but it really falls short on warmth, fit and durability.
Superior all around gloves
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I own 6 different pairs of Hestra gloves (bit obsessed with them) and these are a great introductory pair to what Hestra offers. Not flashy and ornate as some of the other choices these offer great value and protection for the colder parts of the year. Can be used for style or functionality. I've worn these with dress clothes, for work, and adventuring and they have excelled at each occasion. I'd buy them again in a heartbeat but if taken care of they will last quite a long time. The only downside to these is that they need waterproof protection for damper or wet conditions if you want to put them through the ringer. #goatworthy
well made, warm
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: 7
- Height: 5'5"
- Weight: 120lbs
Bought these as a gift: Very well made and offers superior warmth without having to compromise on style. The waterproof and durable nature of the gloves makes it an ideal candidate for winter sports. Fits true to sizing guidelines provided on the site (both backcountry and hestra). I plan to bring these on a snowshoe adventure in Tahoe this January where temps will be <20 degrees and wet. I would highly recommend these to a friend.
