    ULLR Powder Suit

If you live for the deep days, then you need the Helly Hansen Men's ULLR Powder Suit for protection from the hardest storms and deepest powder. This one-piece suit is like an impenetrable suit of armor against snow, and it's equipped with plenty of freeride-specific features to keep you prepared when you're venturing into bottomless snow.

Three-layer Helly Tech Pro fabric with FLOW membrane keeps snow out while allowing sweat vapors to escape, so you stay dry from the inside and out. H2Flow venting gives you control of airflow so you can better regulate temperature and stay comfortable through a wide range of conditions. The new Life Pocket is insulated to prolong the battery life of your phone or POV camera, and a beacon pocket offers a convenient storage option for when you head out through the gates into the backcountry.

The quiet shade camo is a definite head turner! i get compliments on the suit everywhere i go. Ive used this quite a bit, from fresh powder days to icy cold night skiing and have been very impressed with the warmth and how dry it keeps me. I am 6'2 and 250 and i wear the XXL and have ample room to do everything i need, the sleeve are a little long, but other than that it fits well.

I've been wearing the ULLR Powder Suit while going on touring trips and it is awesome! It is extremely warm but also has a lot of vents for when you start heating up. I got to take it out a couple of times while it was dumping snow and stayed 100% dry! I wore the men's size small and it was definitely way too big for me so if you are short I would recommend down sizing.

Typically I am wearing gear in the Large, but when I tried this out in a Large, it fit just fine at the shoulders but very bulky and long everywhere else. When the hood was on, I looked like cousin 'It' from Addams Family. The legs just kept going and was afraid that if I took it out on the slopes then it would be constant drag with tear ups. Reached out to Customer Support to get a Medium instead and it's a truer fit. All the length issues are now resolved, so its a bit of dance to get off/on the shoulders but once it's on there is no aspect of it becoming a problem. Looking forwards to using this in the upcoming season

I enjoyed my time in this piece, solid all around. Completely dry of course and could say I have never been warmer than being in this suit. It makes sense the sizing is hard to pinpoint, but there could be some updates; I found myself having a hard time putting on and taking off this suit off my shoulders. Unless there is someone to tailor this off you, the length was too short to get my arms through. Then once on the suit was quite baggy, though I would say it's true to size of the nature of this suit. Maybe the pockets could have some extra give to open up more, again the nature of the suit. The hood came in handy when I forgot a neck gaitor and having the ventilation for your nose/mouth when you unzip the main zipper. As I mentioned, had a great time and plenty warmth for those colder days.

I got to use this on a powder day and well it's pretty cool. There is a fleece-lined face shield with a vent so you can keep your face warm without your breath freezing the inside of the jacket. I'm 5'9" 165lbs and I wore a large which was really big and looked like a shiny suit from a 90's hip hop video. So if I were to purchase the powder suit I would certainly be a size M

Loved it! Got some goofy looks and compliments on the mountain, but overall stayed dry. I did have some issues with the zipper getting jammed on occasion. Other than that I could happily go roll around powder and stay dry and warm.

A super fun and practical piece for resort riding in inclement weather be it deep powder, super cold days, gale force winds, storm days, or anything else mother nature can throw at you. The one piece design is extremely comfortable and really helps keep in warmth and eliminate any gaps where wind or snow might get in. Your friends will never, ever, have trouble finding you in the lift line, either. This thing has it all - pockets galore in all the right places, helmet compatible hood, burly zippers, padded back for cold chairlifts, bomber waterproof breathable fabric, built in gaiters. Take every feature you'd expect in a pair of premium snow pants and a high end jacket and put them all together and you've got this one piece. Pair it with a one-piece long underwear like a Ninja Suit and you'll be in one piece heaven. I wear a medium in most ski pants and jackets, and wore a medium in this. I'm 5'11" and about 170lbs. It fit with plenty of room and range of motion in all the important areas. The fit is loose, bordering on baggy by design.

I rode in this for the day. I felt like I was swimming in it. I have never worn another onesie, so I am not sure what the fit should be. I liked it- it had good warmth to it without other layers under it. I can see myself rocking another onesie soon enough.

I've tried this, and the The Tobe Vivid Mono Suit, although they're for different things, I think they provide similar protection. That said, the Helly Hansen ULLR Powder Suit is lighter and has better pockets. If you're between the two, you need to do a real cba, but if you listen to me, get this one. It fits big, I usually wear a medium in things, I am able to wear a small and layer underneath with no problem.

Look Good - Feel Good - Shred The Ullr suit is awesome. No matter how hard you try to lose your friends on a pow day, you will never shake them off your tail now that you have the highly visible Ullr suit. I really like wearing this. On warm days I just wear running shorts underneath, or if it is really cold I throw on my 200 weight merino baselayer. For my top, a long sleeve synthetic shirt suffices on warm days, and an additional lightweight fleece keeps you toasty on cold days. The leg and pit vents are so incredibly easy to zip and provide great integrated airflow that you just don't get when you have both pants and a jacket on. Helly Hansen didn't miss a beat on this suit. All the pockets you could need are there. The right pit zip has a handy lens cloth attached so you can wipe down your goggles after busting through that deep fresh. Additionally, if you aren't using your pit zips, they can double as extra pockets - they just so happen to be the perfect size for two slices of pizza. With this suit, you look so good skiing under the lift that everyone will be cheering you on with whoops and hollers. Just try not to double eject...

The best thing about a one-piece is that you have no gaps and no pulling. It is extremely comfortable, there is no powder skirt needed so you don't have that weird bunching or pulling around your waist, you don't have weird straps where a bib would be and the room inside is plentiful. I used it on a fresh powder day, 34" in 48 hours worth of fresh snow and I was completely dry the entire day. I love that you can just grab one item of clothing and be outfitted from head to toe with no worries about being wet or cold. An added bonus is that inside the top part of the garmet it has some really nice padding on the back. It is almost like the same padding you would find in a backpacking backpack. I really noticed the benefit of these pads when riding a few older chairs that didn't have the padded back and were just metal.

Durable, waterproof and breathable. Felt like the elements were no match for me in this suit! I got an XL and there's plenty of space for extra layers underneath. I only wore 200g merino baselayers underneath in 15 degree weather and I was fine.

I got my hands on the Ullr suit a few months ago, and I finally (after much anticipation), got to use it. I had been attempting to hold out for a pow day since it is named the powder suit, but I finally caved and wore it on a regular (but freezing cold) bluebird day. I was immediately impressed by how much thought clearly went into the construction of the onesie- high quality 3L fabric, great seam taping, thoughtful pocket placement, strategic ventilation, and a ton of features I haven't seen on other outerwear. Plus the fact that there are no gaps between jacket and pants meant that the freezing wind couldn't find a way in to ruin the day. I am 6'4 and went with size XL because of my height, and because I like a loose fit in my ski clothes. I would recommend a size large for people shorter than 6' as well.

Hi Keith, I'm a 6'5" male 194lbs - was thinking XXL or did the XL have room for a tad more for me? Anton.L

Hi Anton, I think the XL would work for you unless you like an super baggy fit. I weigh around 180 lbs and have plenty of room to swim around inside the XL. Hope that helps!

"Ull, Old Norse Ullr, in Norse mythology, the god of snowshoes, hunting, the bow, and the shield; he was a handsome stepson of the thunder god Thor. Ull possessed warrior-like attributes and was called upon for aid in individual combat." Get ready for combat against the elements in this thing! I spent several days last winter skiing in this, and I would say its the most comfortable piece of outerwear I have ever worn. Very solid face fabric that blocked the wind and moisture all day while skiing in the Uinta mountains. This isn't just any ol once piece, its hands down the best I've ever seen!

    Bring on Winter

I am one of Paul's co-workers he mentions in his review who saw his Ullr suit and had to get one. Onesies have always seemed cool/funny/interesting to me, but this is the first one that was actually so rad I wanted to own it. It's crazy comfortable, the shell material is relatively soft and supple for a waterproof shell, not too crunch or stiff which I think is what sold me on it. This is my first Helly Hansen outerwear so I'll follow up with an actual review once the snow flies. Fit is very true to size for outerwear I would say. At 6' 195lbs I was stuck between Large or XL, as always. I opted for the XL so that I can bulk up the layers and wear it on super cold days. If you are any shorter than 6' though I think the crotch of the XL would be a bit too low and make it hard to move around.

Update, I've been able to use this suit in the wild now and stand by my 5 star rating. It is super comfy, super snow-proof, and been working great for resort riding and snowmobiling. I'm glad I went XL personally. Plenty of room to layer up underneath, and while the crotch is a little lower than necessary it does not impede my range of motion at all. Financially this suit is a pretty big commitment, but if you ride somewhere where it's often snowy I'm pretty confident you'll be very stoked on it.

I was lucky enough to get one these at the end of last year, and I can't even explain the hype surrounding this suit that ensued. My co-workers were so jealous, they all ordered one this year. I am 5'10" 165lbs and have a slightly longer torso, but the Medium is my jam. It fit's perfectly and moves with ease. The protection is insane. And the venting is incredible. The back has these small pads that keep a pack from making your back clammy and intuitive pockets make this thing incredible. For massive days or when you cheat a bit and take a heli or sled into your favorite zone, this thing will deliver.

Hoping for some clarification on the color, as some pics looks like it is more green colored, whereas others look like it is completely grey. I love the grey look. Not so much a fan of the green.
