Is that rain protection in your pocket or are you just happy to see us?

The Helly Hansen Packable Pants give you portable protection from the rain so you stay dry in sudden storms or when tromping through rain-soaked vegetation. Breathable, Helly Tech 2ply fabric gives you burly protection, while the packable design means you can stuff the entire pair of pants into one of their pockets. Throw 'em in your pack or in a cargo pocket of your hiking shorts, and whip them out when things get wet. You'll already be protected while your hiking mates are still digging through their packs to pull out bulky rain gear or trying to make clothes out of garbage bags.

    Great pants

    • Height: 6'3"
    • Weight: 200lbs

Have not had occasion to frolic in the rain, but most impressive, the XL's are plenty long for a 6'3" beanstalk. Great fit and from all indications a quality product.

    bad zipper

Just one flaw, but a big one - the fly zipper is NOT waterproof at all.

If your jacket is not going to cover it completely, then prepare to get water right where you do not want it to get to... Really unpleasant sensation.... :-(

      1. What is the inseam on the small? 2....

      1. What is the inseam on the small?

      2. Given that there seems to be paraphenalia on the bottoms (snap? zippers?) does altering them become impractical either because of the design and/or the cost of reconstructing the bottom to be shorter would be impractical? Thanks.
